The Goblin Valley is a small but very unusual state park - and at the same time one of the last insider tips in the southwest of the USA. Impressive are its stone formations, which are reminiscent of mushrooms or - as the name suggests - goblins and are probably unique in this form not only on the west coast, but worldwide.

Goblin Valley State Park is a state park of Utah, USA.
Its eminent feature is its thousands of hoodoos and hoodoo rocks, referred to locally as "goblins", which are formations of mushroom-shaped rock pinnacles, some as high as several meters. The distinct shape of these rocks comes from an erosion-resistant layer of rock atop softer sandstone.
The park lies within the San Rafael Desert southeast of the east limb of the San Rafael Swell and north of the Henry Mountains.

... nature made this fine looking wall there in Utah ... but despite that the goblins were still able to get in :)
A capture i took in one of the local supermarkets, some years ago,in the fresh produce aisle. It had a natural blur to it,that i liked because it gives a surreal type of look. I duplicated the shot here,to add to the surreal effect. This shot has always reminded me of my childhood favorite poem "Goblin Market" by Christina Rossetti.
