The theme of the weeks at the Monster High Weekly Photographs is Seven Deadly Sins. I love this theme so I got a bit excited. I'm hoping to find the time to shoot all of these.
The doll is one of the werecat twins that I have fully customized. Due to cats mostly being allergic to milk she is drinking soy milk in the photo.

I'm going to be doing random "7 Deadly Sins" This is the first.
I feel like I eat too much sometimes. I'm going to be cutting down and eating healthier. Hopefully doing that and exercising will help me lose the wieght I want to.

Gluttony from my Seven Deadly Sins series
I got set the task to take a series of photographs for the Seven Deadly Sins for a module at university
I thought i'd link it to the degree that i'm studying for which is Fashion Design by focusing on shoes.
For this image I focused on the label inside one of the shoes so that it is clear to see the Jimmy Choo designer name. I placed them against a clear white background to emphasise their colour and to make the text clear to read on the label.

Using a reversed a old Pentax 28mm in front of my Sigma 70mm f/2.8 macro, the focus distance is about 2 or 3 cm. The magnification ratio is about 2:1 but the vignetting is strong.
Greed/Avarice (Latin, avaritia)
Greed is, like Lust and Gluttony, a sin of excess. However, Greed particularly applies to the acquisition of wealth. Thomas Aquinas wrote that Greed was "a sin against God, just as all mortal sins, in as much as man condemns things eternal for the sake of temporal things." In Dante's Purgatory, the penitent were forced to kneel on hard stone and recite the examples of avarice and its opposing virtue. Avarice is a blanket term that can describe many other forms of sinful behaviour. These include disloyalty, deliberate betrayal, or treason, especially for personal gain, as when someone lets themselves be bribed. Scavenging and hoarding of materials or objects, theft and robbery, especially by violence, trickery, or manipulation of authority are all actions that are inspired by greed. Such misdeeds include Simony, where the sinner feels the urge to make money by selling things within the confines of the church.
The back side label on the bottle of Amager The Sinner Series Gluttony informs us this is from bacth 391, with a best before date of September 2012, a year from now, so it must have been fairly fresh when I tasted it.

Pick a sin of your choice and come up with something subtle and light hearted if possible. But if you have something very disturbing but fits the topic well, thats fine too.

Pride
Greed
Sloth
Gluttony
Lust
Envy
Wrath
Restrictions: No animals to be hurt in the shooting.
Dare: Try to play the tempter. On seeing the picture on Sloth, I should feel like cuddling up on the sofa spending rest of the evening doing nothing.
WIT: Drinking a whole lot of wine!

My friend and I went to a deli outside of Boston that serves 5 lb. hamburgers. The challenge is this: eat the burger (5 lbs.) and the fries that come with it (another 5 lbs.) within an hour and it's free and named after you. Apparently someone has actually finished it since we went two years ago. That's scary.
As it turns out, it wasn't that good and I didn't need 40g of fat at 10pm. Those Hebrew National's pack a punch!
