I didn't want to go with the classic view on gluttony. Most people see gluttony as an obsession of food. I took another direction and put gluttony as an obsession with alcohol.

Gluttony, of course..
Especially when I'm in Italy on holiday,
I step into a gelateria at least once every day
and order a huge ice cream...
Nadja is my second concept for gluttony… really based on wanting a side glancing doll to do this pose with the ice cream. The colours of the outfit she was wearing worked especially well with the ice cream and the long ponytail is perfect for the pose together with her luscious lips fitting the concept. Doing these photos is like doing a ‘cover try’ for a magazine as I have to plan for where the text will go ☺️ _DSC1613 (2)
Gluttony is the over-indulgence and over-consumption of anything to the point of waste.In the Christian religions, it is considered a sin because of the excessive desire, or its withholding from the needy.
Depending on the culture, it can be seen as either a vice or a sign of status.
I woke up this morning with all sorts of energy and inspiration! I knew what I wanted to create for my submission to Theme of the Week - Seven Deadly Sins and I did it. It has been a long time since I have felt this way about my hobby.
You should've seen the mess I made with icing sugar while creating this image.
"Gluttony (waste, overindulgence) —
Thoughtless waste of everything, overindulgence, misplaced sensuality, uncleanliness, and maliciously depriving others. Marked by refusal to share and unreasonable consumption of more than is necessary, especially food or water. Destruction, especially for sport. Substance abuse or binge drinking. Dante explains it as “excessive love of pleasure”. Associated with pigs and the color orange."
Normally, we can only eat so much food, but some people in Ancient Rome wanted more pleasure, so they threw up after the meal and then ate more. This allowed them to enjoy eating more at the cost of health and dignity.
Gluttony, from a set of digital constructs created for the the new issue of Mascular Magazine '7 Deadly Sins' which is out to download now. These are going to be posted in the order they were created...
I loved the gluttonous parents turning into pigs in 'Spirited Away', and the line drawing worked well with victorian dissection drawings and endoscope footage.
My entry for the T189 Oct-Dec 2008 groups weekly contest. The theme is "the 7 deadly sins" and this is my interpretation of gluttony and possibly lust!!!

Seven Deadly Sins- Gluttony
This was fun. My Mom saw me putting random bags of chips and soup cans out onto the counter and thought I was crazy.

A todos nos pasa que, cuanto menos llueve, más sed tenemos, cuanto menos comida tenemos, más pensamos en comer.
Nos gusta pecar de golosos, nos gusta pensar que podemos devorar mucho más de lo que en realidad necesitamos.
Así le pasa a la vida. Se lleva por delante cosas que no necesita, simplemente por el hecho de poder.
Aunque en realidad, simplemente no le servimos para nada. Somos muñecos que danzan con pánico a dejar de existir.
Pero nos encanta disfrutar de lo absurdo, de lo insano, de lo que no necesitamos.
Así ha sido siempre y así será hasta el final.

We all happen the same thing; if it no rains, we want water, if we have no food, we'll think about eating everytime.
We like to be too greedy, we like to think we can eat much more than they actually need.
This happens to life. Steal away things it doesn´t need, simply because it can.
In reality, it doesn´t need us. We dance like stupid dummies, with panic for not exist.
But we love to enjoy the absurd, the insane, what we don't need.
It has always been and it will be until the end.
