ok, here's what happened. the ssuc theme is gluttony. the month is coming to an end so i knew i had to get my ssuc shot done soon. just as i was about to leave work, someone who needs cheering up said to take a photo of something funny at the end of a conversation that also mentioned a girl with a pants obsession. in my head, that turned into a gluttony for pants. so i posed with lots of pants. emm. yeah. it's a bit odd and i am pretty sure it is entirey inappropriate to be cheering said person up with a photo of pants. but it might just make them chuckle. and hey, it means i've done my ssuc shot. hurrah
In the Christian religions, it is considered a sin because of the excessive desire for food, or it’s withholding from the needy.
We roll so deep: cases upon cases of Diet Coke in my office break room. I'm not kidding around about how much we drink.

Well today has been fun, again it's grey and cold and miserable outside so my daughter decided to build one of the K'Nex sets that she got for Christmas. 8 years + it says on the box. I thought that meant it was recommended for children above 8 eight years, on second thoughts I think it's an estimate of the time it takes to build. Mick has spent a full day on the floor building a rollercoaster. And pretty spectacular it is too. Three feet high and four feet wide, it fills the living room, the dog has spent the day sat on the sofa because every time he's tried to walk anywhere he's trodden on part of it and been shouted at. So he retreated to the relative safety on the sofa where both him and the rollercoaster are safe.
What have I done then you ask? Well I chipped in my opinion every now and then, usually when I thought it was going wrong, which resulted in me being shouted at as well so I joined the dog on the sofa, and opened a tin of chocolates.
So what to photograph today, I took some pieces of the K'Nex but they were mainly grey, black and blue and not very cheerful, and when I wandered off with them into the kitchen where the available light was better I got shouted at again, so that left me with the tin of chocolates (well, what was left of them that is) which were bright colours in shiny wrappers. Perfect! And perfect in more ways than one as the monthly challenge for my photography group this month is the seven deadly sins and how to represent them all in photographic form.
So gluttony it is, I 'bagged' one of the sins before I ate all the chocolates, mind you, maybe an empty tin would have represented gluttony slightly better. As it is I hope the weather tomorrow is slightly better as the dog and I have got to make amends for a day sat on the sofa eating chocolates.
Well on my part it was in the name of art!
Taken on the South Bank of the Thames on the 2nd January, the refuse collectors need to catch up after the Bank Holiday.
The idea came from the Make up Artist and friend,Stella Os.
You already know her,she had been an assistant for lots of my captures.
She found the symbolism of colors for the 7 Deadly Sins, and she wanted my face to be the canvas for her colorful idea.
She knows well that my face has millions of expressions so it was a deal for a great collaboration.
The portraits are simple yet tempting.(At least we hope so.)

What it is?
Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.
Why you do it?
Because you were weaned improperly as an infant.
Your punishment in Hell will be: You'll be force-fed rats, toads, and snakes.
GLUTTONY (Latin, gula)
"Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires."
This is the first (though probably not the last) of my 365 Days images to not feature my face. Why? I'm not entirely sure. I think most of us think of Gluttony as overeating, and that certainly may be one of its faces. At the heart of gluttony, though, is consumption beyond fulfillment. Consumption that is ostentatious, excessive, and perhaps a bit spiteful. It's always reaching for more.
That's not me. Even with the literal interpretation of food, i don't go looking for more to eat. My partner Troy may take exception to this because when i do it, i eat. But i don't live for food. In fact there have been days i don't remember to eat at all. (That's a whole other dysfunction we won't go into now.) The food above was in my basket today and is my shopping for the week, probably. I tend to live up to that old adage from Socrates or Cicero or Molière or whoever really said it first, "Thou shouldst eat to live, not live to eat."
For the most part, that attitude carries over into the other parts of my life too. I don't make it a point to acquire material things just to have them. (Probably why i'm broke right about now. Which -- in all fairness -- could have something to do with why i don't eat much. LOL!)

a fellow farmer friend who has a milk hookup happened to break his trailer right in front of our house on a day he got a ton of milk. he let us snag a couple of gallons so all the pigs were pretty stoked about their morning feeding today.

Hieronymus Bosch (eigentlich Jheronimus van Aken (’s-Hertogenbosch um 1450 - 1516
Allegorie der Unmäßigkeit - An Allegory of Intemperance
(ca. 1495–1500)
Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, Conn., USA
This painting is a fragment: along with the Ship of Fools (Musée du Louvre, Paris), it formed the left wing of a triptych (now dismantled). Together, the paintings symbolize Gluttony, one of the seven deadly sins. The right wing of the triptych, Death and the Miser (National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.), embodies Avarice. The missing central panel most likely represented the remaining sins, Pride, Envy, Lust, Anger, and Sloth. Hieronymus Bosch’s unique imagery combined fantastical creatures, visual puns, and representations of proverbs to symbolize vice and its dangerous consequences. His powerful moral allegories were in demand throughout Europe, though their complex iconography may not always have been fully understood.

Garlic fries and a chili dog. I actually ate my chili dog with a fork and knife since I would've made a big mess had I not.

"I WILL CONSUME THE LIVING AND THE DEAD"
SOOC
Why an apple? It occurred to me that the best way to express a sin is through its first form ever made by Adam, the father of all.
This is Gluttony, i associate gluttony with food and eating to an excess. i used an orange skirt base and stitched cupcake cases onto it ,excessivly. Each individually crafted and hand sewn. The makeup was heavy and doll like, as people who eat to an excess tend to be heavy.
I was on a filming job for 4 days in Adelaide, South Australia. During my after hours walking and photography, I stumbled across the Fringe and Gluttony Festivals.
No puedo creer que aun tengas ganas,
Después de probarlo todo,
Insaciable es tu ser,
Egoísta tu esencia,
Tu insistencia acabo con una vida,
Lo que querías saborear,
No se encuentra en la carne,
El capricho forma parte de la piel,
Recuerda La próxima vez,
Mirar más allá del cuerpo,
Y no darle rienda suelta,
A tu malvada Gula….!
Bergier…!
English:
I can not believe that even you feel like,
After trying everything,
Insatiable is your being,
Selfish your essence,
Your insistence took a life,
What I wanted to savor,
Not in the flesh,
The fad is part of the skin,
Remember next time,
Looking beyond the body,
And do not give free rein,
A Gula your evil ....!
Bergier ...!
Gluttony, noun/ plurral -ies

OMG AND I FOUND MY BELOVED MALEEE ON FLICKRR :O GO CHECK OUT HER PHOTOSTREAM~
I didn't want to go with the classic view on gluttony. Most people see gluttony as an obsession of food. I took another direction and put gluttony as an obsession with alcohol.
Yuri: “Oh for the love of fudge nut brownies, stop whining. You know I cannot stand it when you whine. Well, since you are so bored, you can help me bake. Get an apron; we have a lot of work to do. And, you will be cleaning up any of Lukas’ vomit that does not make it into the toilet.”
