Weather the greenhouse effect is contributing to the climactic changes
we are expiencing, our energy glutton society has made little progress in reducing our dependence of foreign oil. If we changed our ways, countries like Saudi Arabia could be delt with honestly instead of hippo critic manner which is our habit. They are the very type of county we claim to deplore: illegitimate government with a small "royal" ruling class suppressing the masses,the fund all the radical violent Islamic terrorist groups from Al-quaida to Hamas and Hezbollah whose stated goal and only goal is to destroy Israel and it;s allies (that means us}, all but one of the participants in 9/11 were Saudis, the Sect that wants to return the entire planets population to the garish rules of behavior in Islam of the 7th century are the Wahhbists, who are Saudis. But because of oil we look the other way with regard to their plethora of nefarious behaviors. Oh yes, they are good friends with the bushes.

The TEDxUWLaCrosse Salon Series, presented Glutton for Punishment: The Environmental Costs of Western Diets at the UW-La Crosse Institute for Campus Excellence, Murphy Library, on Tuesday, March 8, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. The event opened with a presentation and group discussion facilitated by Dr. Adam Driscoll, assistant professor - Department of Sociology.
At a TEDx salon, attendees watch TED Talks, listen to speakers, and have discussions about the talks they witnessed. Salons re-engage the audience in the presentation model through the critical element of lively discussions, allowing attendees to actively participate in the event and shape the conversation.
Dr. Driscoll summarizes his presentation, “This salon explored the nature of the global food system and how current agricultural and food industry practices are unsustainable in both an ecological and a distributive sense.” The salon also included TED videos by Tristram Stuart and Dan Barber. Driscoll continues, “Themes we explored included the amount of food being wasted by our current system, the ecological footprint associated with Western diets, issues of food justice, and problems with agricultural illiteracy. We finished with a discussion of possible alternative models to the current food system that exist at both the local and global levels. We discussed how we as individuals can help foster environmentally sustainable food systems that provide healthy, affordable food for all”

When a stray or ferral cat comes to visit, I'll put a can of wet food out for him or her. My cats are very jealous and make sure to lick the can clean.
This is Holly. She's fat.
This guy hasn't quite finished off a Serviceberry and he has his eye on more. Some of the squirrels must get sick as they really scarf 'em down like crazy.
We went to dinner at Glutton's Bay on Ana and Joyce's first night in Singapore.

When I arrived at the stables to pick up Cullinan for the day, I found him munching away, in the feed kitchen, on a hay bale.
Of course, I got mad at him. But out of disappointment.
It also wasn't helpful that he tried to keep eating when I removed him.
