Originally, when I took the picture of the globe, I didn't plan on doing anything like this. But, Ashley fell asleep for four hours, so I needed something to do. When I cut out the globe, the first time I tried it, it was a perfect circle. But, I thought it looked weird. I wanted it to have that effect like a little kid cut it out with scissors. So, this is what it turned out to be.

Oh, and the reason I had to upload it today instead of yesterday, is because Ashley's internet was down.

On Angela Briggs' globe, empty water bottles are transformed into figures that represent the cultural diversity of Los Angeles. The use of plastic bags as texture in the ocean illustrates waves dancing through a clean body of water. The water drops represent safe drinking water, which are also viewing stations to allow you to see inside the globe. The images inside represent Los Angeles rising fresh and young by using recycled materials, as the Phoenix rises from its own ashes.

Globe Reflections

This was a runner up for the theme of map. As you can see it's a different globe than the first one. I also used my macro for this picture. I've started playing around with that some.

I like the reflections on the crystal globe in this picture.

(I have it, but not a scanner big enough for it)

Much as I love the architecture of the Globe, it's the shadow of Tate, Bankside that gets me every time.

No individual titles (it'll take too long). But an excellent day that included The Lion's Part, The Fabularium, The Berry Man, The Globe theatre, A Corn Queen, musicians, dancing, processions, Borough Market fun and games and a visit to Crossbones graveyard to pay our respects.

Like I said. Total sucker.

Quick visit to a local garden centre, with only the little camera, but I couldn't resist a picture of these wonderful architectural Globe Thistles. In the backgound is a seat and garden dedicated to a super person that worked for me in TWM days and later at these gardens - RIP Jane.
