Amongst the horned dinosaur fossils, the Tyrrell has this interactive globe. Push a button and it displays the fossil beds for a given ceratopsian species. Not as high-tech as some other science globes I know of, but I got to see this one.
03.06.2007 Germany, Berlin, Deutscher Bundestag and Pergamonmuseum, Legislature Forum G 8+5. Opening session with UK Prime Minister Rt Hon Tony Blair, German Cabinet Minister for Environment Sigmar Gabriel, Members of Parliament Josef Goppel, Dr. Christel Happach-Kasan, Frank Schwabe, Michael Kauch, President of GLOBE International Rt Hon Elliot Morley, Japanese National Security Advisor Ms Yuriko Koike etc.
The globe sculpture outside Rossmoor, Leisure World, between Aspen
Hill and Olney, Maryland. It's an age restricted, gated retirement
community. Apparently there are a few of these around the states, one
in Middlesex County, NJ, another in Orange County, CA, another near
Walnut Creek, CA and another in Arizona that also go by the name
Rossmoor or Leisure World. Bizarre in its own way.
The first photo I take at Worldcon, and of course it's of a display of globes, of worlds both real and imaginary.

I bought this plasma ball one year ago for my son. Yesterday I suddenly realized that it may bring me some fun if I took some pictures at it. And these are what I got.
This sculpture by Yinka Shonibare, is mounted high on the side of the Royal Opera House. It's part of the cultural olympiad.
If you go and see it, take a look at 'The Olympic Journey', an exhibition in the opera house about the history of the olympics. The best bit is the display of olympic torches from every event since they were introduced at the 1936 Berlin games.
I was surprised by all of the demo work done on the Globe building when I drove by the other night. I thought more restoration of the building for the DNR purposes was going to be done. I guessed wrong.
