Hurley Hall at the University of Notre Dame has this globe in the lobby. This was a test of the Cook Kinic 1 in. f/1.5 lens on a Sony NEX 5N. This c mount lens vignettes a little on the APS C sensor. This photo was at f/1.5 and it has the effect of making the globe look like a model. Closing down the lens does not eliminate the vignette, however the globe starts to look more true to size.

The base of the globe had a sticker that said "Do not eat." I'll post a non-sqc version of this photo to illustrate.

Did you know the first snow globes date from the early 1800s ?
Of course, the ones on this picture are much more recent :-) and I used them to work on my light setup skills.

The Highway Tanks TFPA project falls under the overarching cross-boundary San Carlos Apache Tribal Forest Protection project aimed at treating national forest system lands and adjacent tribal reservation lands here in Arizona. In January 2023, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and USDA Forest Service pledged $32 million for cross-boundary projects on the Apache Sitgreaves, Coronado and Tonto National Forests adjacent to the San Carlos Apache Reservation lands as part of the USDA Forest Service 10-year strategy to address the wildfire crisis. ASP World No. 7 Taj Burrow (Yallingup, WA) (pictured) posted a sensational Round 3 victory over Tiago Pires (Portugal) during Round 3 of the Globe Pro Fiji, which took place at Cloudbreak, today.
Burrow rode one of the widest barrels of the afternoon, scoring the only perfect 10- point ride of the day, and finished off with 17.00 heat score (out of a possible 20.00) to advance into Round 4.
The Globe Pro Fiji is the fourth stop on the ASP World Tour and includes the world’s top 45 full-time touring male professional surfers plus three wildcards. The event has a ten day waiting period but requires only four full days of competition to be completed.
