This necklace was given to me by a wonderful gentleman named Joel Tarback.
I believe he was in his late '70s at the time he mailed this to me, along with a note. He gave me specific instructions over the phone that I was not to wear it until I had achieved the goal of attaining my high school diploma. (I was a drop out at the age of 17 and working in a factory full-time).
This beautiful amber necklace remained in the jewelry box he sent it in (along with his handwritten notes dated June 2004) until the 26th of October, 2007. This is the day where it was confirmed that I had passed my final credit course, earning my grade 12.
I tried to contact Joel but we lost touch years ago.Wherever he is, I hope he knows that I kept my promise - in not wearing the necklace until now, and in also getting my diploma - and that it means so very much that he believed in me.

The Postcard
A postcard that was published by E.T.W. Dennis & Sons Ltd. of London and Scarborough. The card was posted in Fort William using a 2d. stamp on Monday the 29th. September 1952. It was sent to:

Alfred Day
Alfred Day OBE (Esquire, JP) was a prominent 20th.-century figure in Kent, best remembered for his agricultural contributions, horseracing legacy, and civic philanthropy.
Alfred Day was a respected horse trainer who famously created and hosted the first race days at the iconic figure-of-eight Fontwell Park Racecourse in West Sussex in May 1924.
Alfred was highly influential in regional agriculture, and served as a Justice of the Peace (JP).
He gifted a significant tract of land to the village of Headcorn, which is known today as "Day's Green". The gift and his legacy are commemorated on the Headcorn Village Sign located at the junction of High Street and Kings Road.
Headcorn is 3½ miles from Sutton Valence.
Glen Coe
Glen Coe is a glen of glacial origins that cuts though volcanic rocks in the Highlands of Scotland. It lies in the north of the county of Argyll, close to the border with the historic province of Lochaber.
Glen Coe is regarded as the home of Scottish mountaineering, and is popular with hillwalkers and climbers.
A 2010 review by Scottish Natural Heritage into the special qualities of Scotland's National scenic areas listed the "soaring, dramatic splendour of Glen Coe", and "the suddenness of the transition between high mountain pass and the lightly wooded strath" as being of note.
The review also described the journey through the glen on the main A82 road as "one of the classic Highland journeys".
The main settlement is the village of Glencoe located at the foot of the glen.
The Glen is named after the River Coe which runs through it. The name of the river may predate the Gaelic language, as its meaning is not known.

On the 13th. February 1692, in the aftermath of the Jacobite uprising of 1689, an incident known as the Massacre of Glencoe took place in the glen.
Thirty-eight men from Clan MacDonald of Glencoe were killed by government forces who were billeted with them on the grounds that they had not been prompt in pledging allegiance to the new monarchs, William and Mary.
The Sinking of the Crusader
So what else happened on the day that Bob and Win posted the card?
Well, the 29th. September 1952 marked the sinking of the Crusader, a jet-powered speedboat piloted on Loch Ness by John Cobb in an attempt to set a new world water speed record.
The Crusader cost £15,000 to build in 1949. It was silver and scarlet in colour and 10 m long. The engine was a de Havilland Ghost Mk 48 centrifugal turbojet provided as a loan by the Ministry of Supply at the request of Major Frank Halford, the engine designer. The engine was rated at 5,000 lb thrust fed by two scoop inlets forward of the cockpit
The hull was of trimaran form, a main hull with a planing step, and two smaller rear-mounted outriggers. Construction was of birch plywood frames and stringers. The hull was skinned in birch ply covered in doped fabric with metal skin reinforcement for planing surfaces. Aircraft-style riveted aluminium was used for the box-section cantilevers to the outriggers.
During the record attempt, Crusader struck a wave at an estimated speed of 210 miles per hour (340 km/h) and disintegrated, killing Cobb, whose body was thrown 50 yards (46 m).
Cobb successfully hit a peak of 206.89 mph (breaking the water speed record, although it never became official). However as the boat slowed down, it struck unexplained waves (or a "rogue ripple").
This caused the front of the hydroplane to violently bounce, plunge into the water, and somersault. At speeds exceeding 200 mph, the water acted like a wall. The violent oscillation and sudden pressure caused the lightweight wooden hull to disintegrate, throwing Cobb from the cockpit.
Cobb’s support team swiftly recovered him from the water, but he tragically died of shock and trauma. The wreckage of the Crusader sank to the bottom of the loch.
The boat′s wreckage was discovered on the 5th. July 2002 on the bottom of Loch Ness at a depth of 200 metres (656 ft). The site was designated as a scheduled monument in 2005.

Helen Elizabeth Morgan
The 29th. September 1952 also marked the birth of Helen Elizabeth Morgan. Helen is a British actress, model, TV hostess, and beauty pageant contestant who won the 1974 Miss Wales, Miss United Kingdom and Miss World pageants.
Morgan became the first winner to resign, and the second (after Marjorie Wallace) to not complete her one-year reign as Miss World.

Born in Walsall, Staffordshire, England Helen worked in a bank. Entering modelling competitions on a part-time basis, she won the Miss Wales (representing Barry in the competition for that title) and Miss United Kingdom titles in 1974.

Morgan represented Wales in the Miss Universe 1974 pageant, where she finished as first runner up.

Winning Miss United Kingdom earned Morgan the right to represent the United Kingdom in Miss World. She had originally been reluctant to enter the Miss Wales competition, and was eventually paid £30 as a last-minute stand-in when another competitor dropped out.
Morgan became the second Welsh woman and the fourth UK representative to win the competition in 1974.
However, Helen was forced to resign only four days after winning the pageant, when the media created extremely negative and lurid headlines stating that she was an unwed mother with an 18-month-old son.
This had never been hidden from the time she was crowned Miss Wales, but the lurid headlines in the hours immediately following her win at Miss World, particularly interviews given by the wife of the child's father, created extreme pressure on Morgan and the Miss World organization.
Although this did not violate any of the competition rules (which stipulated only that entrants must be unmarried), pressure was placed on her by the Miss World Organisation to resign in order to save them from further potential embarrassment.
The first runner-up, Anneline Kriel of South Africa, succeeded her. Morgan became the first winner to resign, and the second Miss World titleholder not to finish her reign.
The first case was that of Miss World 1973, Marjorie Wallace, who, according to pageant officials, was stripped of the crown for "failing to fulfill the basic requirements of the job" a few months into her reign.

Threatened with being a named party in a divorce – an action which was later dropped – Morgan was allowed to keep her other titles. She resigned from the bank, and undertook a career in modelling, TV and films.
Morgan married and moved to Surrey in the 1980's, and had two more children, Poppy and Ben. She later left the UK, and now lives in Spain with her husband Ronny Lamb and family.
In 2004, Morgan agreed to judge the 2004 Miss Wales competition in Swansea, the 30th. anniversary of her competition win.

"The Dancing House (Czech: Tančící dům), or Ginger and Fred, is the nickname given to the Nationale-Nederlanden building on the Rašínovo nábřeží (Rašín Embankment) in Prague, Czech Republic. It was designed by the Croatian-Czech architect Vlado Milunić in cooperation with Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry on a vacant riverfront plot. The building was designed in 1992. The construction, carried out by BESIX, was completed four years later in 1996.
Gehry originally called the house Ginger and Fred (after the dancers Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire – the house resembles a pair of dancers), but the nickname Ginger & Fred is now mainly used for the restaurant located on the seventh floor of the Dancing House Hotel. Gehry himself later discarded his own idea, as he was "afraid to import American Hollywood kitsch to Prague".
The "Dancing House" is set on a property of great historical significance. Its site was the location of an apartment building destroyed by the U.S. bombing of Prague in 1945. The plot and structure lay decrepit until 1960, when the area was cleared. The neighboring plot was co-owned by the family of Václav Havel, who spent most of his life there. As early as 1986 (during the Communist era), Vlado Milunić, then a respected architect in the Czechoslovak milieu, conceived an idea for a project at the place and discussed it with his neighbour, the then little-known dissident Havel. A few years later, during the Velvet Revolution, Havel became a popular leader and was subsequently elected president of Czechoslovakia. Thanks to his authority, the idea to develop the site grew.[citation needed] Havel eventually decided to have Milunić survey the site, hoping for it to become a cultural center, though this was not the result.
The Dutch insurance company Nationale-Nederlanden (ING Bank from 1991 to 2016) agreed to sponsor the construction of a house onsite. The superbank chose Milunić as the lead designer and asked him to partner with another world-renowned architect to approach the process. The French architect Jean Nouvel turned down the idea because of the small square footage, but the Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry accepted the invitation. Because of the bank's excellent financial state at the time, it was able to offer almost unlimited funding for the project. Starting with their first meeting in 1992 in Geneva, Gehry and Milunić began to develop Milunić's original idea of a building consisting of two parts, static and dynamic ("yin and yang"), which were to symbolize the transition of Czechoslovakia from a communist regime to a parliamentary democracy.
The style is known as deconstructivist ("new-baroque" to the designers) architecture due to its unusual shape. The "dancing" shape is supported by 99 concrete panels, each a different shape and dimension. On the top of the building is a large twisted structure of metal nicknamed Mary.
In the middle of a square of buildings from the eighteenth and nineteenth century, the Dancing House has two main parts. The first is a glass tower that narrows at half its height and is supported by curved pillars; the second runs parallel to the river and is characterized by undulating mouldings and unaligned windows.
Dancers Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are represented in the structure. A tower made of rock is used to represent Fred. This tower also includes a metal head. A tower made of glass is used to represent Ginger.
This design was driven mainly by aesthetic considerations: aligned windows would make evident that the building has two more floors, although it is the same height as the two adjacent nineteenth century buildings. The windows have protruding frames, such as those of paintings, as the designer intended for them to have a three-dimensional effect. The winding mouldings on the façade also serve to confuse perspective and diminish contrast with the surrounding buildings.
The New Town (Czech: Nové Město) is a quarter in the city of Prague in the Czech Republic. New Town is the youngest and largest of the five independent (from the Middle Ages until 1784) towns that today comprise the historic center of modern Prague. New Town was founded in 1348 by Charles IV just outside the city walls to the east and south of the Old Town and encompassed an area of 7.5 km²; about three times the size of the Old Town. The population of Prague in 1378 was well over 40,000, perhaps as much as twice that, making it the 4th most populated city north of the Alps and, by area, the 3rd largest city in Europe. Although New Town can trace its current layout to its construction in the 14th century, only few churches and administrative buildings from this time survive. There are many secular and educational buildings in New Town, but also especially magnificent gothic and baroque churches. These nevertheless are not the main drawing points for tourists. New Town's most famous landmark is Wenceslas Square, which was originally built as a horsemarket and now functions as a center of commerce and tourism. In the 15th century, the Novoměstská radnice, or New Town Hall, was the site of the first of the three defenestrations of Prague.
Prague (/ˈprɑːɡ/ PRAHG; Czech: Praha [ˈpraɦa]; German: Prag [pʁaːk]; Latin: Praga) is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic and the historical capital of Bohemia. On the Vltava river, Prague is home to about 1.3 million people. The city has a temperate oceanic climate, with relatively warm summers and chilly winters.
Prague is a political, cultural, and economic hub of central Europe, with a rich history and Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architectures. It was the capital of the Kingdom of Bohemia and residence of several Holy Roman Emperors, most notably Charles IV (r. 1346–1378) and Rudolf II (r. 1575–1611).
It was an important city to the Habsburg monarchy and Austro-Hungarian Empire. The city played major roles in the Bohemian and the Protestant Reformations, the Thirty Years' War and in 20th-century history as the capital of Czechoslovakia between the World Wars and the post-war Communist era.
Prague is home to a number of well-known cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th-century Europe. Main attractions include Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with the Prague astronomical clock, the Jewish Quarter, Petřín hill and Vyšehrad. Since 1992, the historic center of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
The city has more than ten major museums, along with numerous theatres, galleries, cinemas, and other historical exhibits. An extensive modern public transportation system connects the city. It is home to a wide range of public and private schools, including Charles University in Prague, the oldest university in Central Europe.
Prague is classified as a "Alpha-" global city according to GaWC studies. In 2019, the city was ranked as 69th most livable city in the world by Mercer. In the same year, the PICSA Index ranked the city as 13th most livable city in the world. Its rich history makes it a popular tourist destination and as of 2017, the city receives more than 8.5 million international visitors annually. In 2017, Prague was listed as the fifth most visited European city after London, Paris, Rome, and Istanbul.
Bohemia (Latin Bohemia, German Böhmen, Polish Czechy) is a region in the west of the Czech Republic. Previously, as a kingdom, they were the center of the Czech Crown. The root of the word Czech probably corresponds to the meaning of man. Given its founders, Tomball, Texas is a little bit German. Tomball, just 28 miles northwest of downtown Houston, is Texan for Fun!

This box was given to my great aunt by a friend named Ted Wyness. His initials are on the lid ..... E.C.W. (Edward Clarence Wyness). He was a merchant seaman who travelled along the east coast of Australia and visited my great aunt when in Brisbane.
Whether he made it himself of had it done I don't know but the carving was done by burning the wood, known as Pyrography. Each side has a different image.

These jewelry is made out of paper. This product has been given waterproof coating. Therefore, it is water resistant.

In this "lament" the "cantaor" is refering to his lover's liver which being the largest organ in the human body and containinig the most blood, The Gypsies regard the liver as the darkest, least penetrable part of man's innards thus it is considered to contain the secret of fate and is used for fortune telling.
In the "lament" the cantaor goes on how he prays for the vultures to come and pluck the evil liver out, so a new one would grow insted.
Sounds preposterous, but it is apparantly medically proven that the liver can regenerate itself.
The above translation is not from Spanish but rather from "Cale" therefore difficult to translate, but as good wine's, flows beautifuly from those that know how to sing it with "Duende" or soul
Gloucester's east window has a claim to be the largest of medieval windows, a title usually given to that at York as the stained glass there fills the entire window, whereas here it comprises about two thirds of the overall space; however the window itself does fill the entire wall! It is an architectural landmark, the first great expression of the Perpendicular style and built on the foundations of the former apse, hence its unusual curved shape with the outer lights slanted towards the centre. It was glazed c1350 and features remarkably little coloured glass with red and blue backgrounds to the otherwise white figures and canopies (coloured glass was more expensive as it had to be imported, white glass was locally made and therefore cheaper to use, which was especially significant when the proportion of glazing was on such an unprecedented scale!).
The design is treated as a display of images, with figures under canopies filling the entire width of the upper three tiers of the window with a shorter row of angels as the head of the window narrows above (one is missing and has been replaced with a later Madonna & Child from elsewhere in the cathedral). The central group features the entrhoned figures of Christ & Mary at her coronation (the design now slightly confused by the patching of Christ's lower half with part of another figure). The rest features various apostles, saints and kings, some figures (particularly towards the south side) are heavily patched and confused, a few others suffer from unfortunately crude replacement faces (the 'ghost heads') and a couple of figures which appear taller than the rest may not even have originally belonged to the window but are perhaps remnants of the lost original glazing of the adjacent clerestories.
The lower half of the window is partially obscured by the adjacent Lady Chapel (which is entered through it) and mainly consists of plain glazing with a few pieces of heraldry and roundels (including the famous 'golfer').
Gloucester Cathedral is one of England's finest churches, a masterpiece of medieval architecture consisting of a uniquely beautiful fusion of Norman Romanesque and Perpendicular Gothic from the mid 14th century onwards. Until the Reformation this was merely Gloucester's Abbey of St Peter, under Henry VIII it became one of six former monastic churches to be promoted to cathedral status, thus saving the great church from the ravages of the Dissolution.
The most obviously Norman part is the nave, immediately apparent on entering the building with it's round arches and thick columns (the exterior is the result of Gothic remodelling). Much of the remainder of the building is substantially the Norman structure also, but almost entirely modified in the later Middle Ages inside and out, the result of the great revenue brought to the abbey by pilgrims to the tomb of the murdered King Edward II in the choir. It was this transformation of the Norman church that is credited with launching the late gothic Perpendicular style in England.
The gothic choir is a unique and spectacular work, the walls so heavily panelled as to suggest a huge stone cage (disguising the Norman arches behind) crowned by a glorious net-like vault adorned with numerous bosses (those over the Altar with superb figures of Christ and angels) whilst the east wall is entirely glazing in delicate stone tracery, and still preserving most of it's original 14th century stained glass. The soaring central tower, also richly panelled with delicate pinnacles, is another testament to the abbey's increasing wealth at this time.
The latest medieval additions to the church are equally glorious, the Lady Chapel is entered through the enormous east window and is itself a largely glazed structure, though the original glass has been reduced to a few fragments in the east window, the remainder now contains beautiful Arts & Crafts stained glass by Christopher and Veronica Whall.
The early 16th century cloisters to the north of the nave are some of the most beautiful anywhere, being completely covered by exquisite fan vaulting, with a seperate lavatorium (washing room) attached to the north walk as a miniature version of the main passages.
There is much more of interest, from 14th century choir stalls with misericords to the comprehensive collection of tombs and monuments of various dates, including the elaborate tomb of Edward II and that of Robert Duke of Normandy, eldest son of William the Conqueror. The stained glass also represents all ages, from the 14th century to the striking contemporary windows by Tom Denny.
Further areas of the cathedral can be accessed at certain times, such as the Norman crypt under the choir and the triforium gallery above.
Given their current financial situation, Ford could use a few more free spirits.

the Maltese has been given many names, such as the "Melitae Dog," "Ye Ancient Dogge of Malta," the "Roman Ladies Dog," "The Comforter," the "Spaniel Gentle," the "Bichon," the "Maltese Lion Dog," and the "Maltese Terrier." Today, he is known simply as the Maltese.
This elegant toy dog breed is famed for the silky white hair covering his body. Straight and thick, the coat falls all the way to the floor. Many years ago, Maltese came in many colors, but these days they are always white. When a properly built Maltese moves, he seems to float beneath his cloud of white hair. Because he doesn't have an undercoat, the Maltese sheds little, and many people consider the breed to be hypoallergenic.
But the Maltese is more than his coat. Completing the picture is a slightly rounded skull, black nose, drop ears, dark, alert eyes, short, straight legs, and a graceful tail. He's a sweet, intelligent dog who is devoted to his people. And as one of the smallest of the toy breeds, he's well suited to apartment or condo living. Wherever he lives, the Maltese is responsive to his environment and makes an effective watchdog.

These are individual trophies given to players of teams who won the competitions. The larger cup is for winning the Barnsley Beckett Hospital Cup in Season 1958-59. The smaller cup is for winning the Barnsley Nelson League in Season 1956-57. These trophies were won by Jump United, and presented to my father who played for Jump during the fifties. The Beckett Cup Final was one of the very few Jump United games I missed as a child that year because the weather when it was played was dreadful. I was five years old, and my mother wouldn't let me go. However the coach brought my dad back to our house so that the team could show us the Cup. I do not know who Jump beat in the final, or by how many. Any help please?
Team members at and around this time would have included Ron and Roy Taylor, Derek and Terry Radley, Jimmy Tate, Phillip Ardron, David Dixon, Harry Denton, Peter (Cobbler) Carr, Brian Dickinson, Andrew Swallow and Joe Wharton, to name but a few. I used to watch matches from the sidelines against teams like YOTAR, Rockingham Athletic, Hoyland Town, Birdwell Rovers, Bank End, Athersley Social, and Worsbrough Bridge.
The number one supporter for Jump United was an old lady called Eva Travis. She used to frighten the life out of me, and I usually spent my time spectating watching Eva and staying diametrically across the pitch from her. The pitch was in the field just below Jump Working Mens Club. The pitch is now part of a housing estate. Eva's favourite position for watching games was next to the goalpost of the opposition's goalnet. She used to frighten the opposition goalies as well as me, and I reckon she was worth at least a goal a game in home fixtures and sometime more.
When Jump United disbanded in the early 1960s some of the players went to play for newly formed Elsecar Main Colliery FC next to the cricket ground in Elsecar. A new pitch was laid and a grandstand was erected. I made my first ever senior appearance as a sixteen year-old at centre forward for Elsecar Main FC Second Team in the Sheffield Hatchard League in 1968. I also later played for their First Team in the Sheffield County Senior League, but even though the team was called Elsecar, I always felt that a little bit of me was playing for Jump United. I never saw Eva watching a game at Elsecar. I could have done with her standing next to the other team's goalie.
I have just found out more about the 1959 Beckett Cup Final from Andrew Swallow who played inside right for Jump United. It was played at Birdwell, and Andrew confirms that the weather was atrocious. Jump United beat Worsbrough Bridge 1-0. Andrew would have been on the bus when it stopped to show us the cup. Andrew tells me that one day playing for Jump United, he broke through on the left and shot hard and high for the near post. His shot hit Eva, standing next to the post, in the face, and she had to be taken to hospital. Andrew did not play for Elsecar Main after Jump United were disbanded, but instead went on to play for Hoyland Town. Andrew now lives in Wales, and it was a great pleasure to talk to him.
MAHAVATAR BABAJI CAVE
Mahāvatār Bābājī (literally; Great Avatar Dear Father) is the name given to an Indian saint and yogi by Lahiri Mahasaya and several of his disciples,[2] who reported meeting him between 1861 and 1935. Some of these meetings were described by Paramahansa Yogananda in his book Autobiography of a Yogi, including a first-hand report of Yogananda's own meeting with the yogi.[3]Another first hand account was given by Yukteswar Giri in his book The Holy Science.[4] According to Sri M's autobiography (Apprenticed to a Himalayan Master) Babaji, was Shiva. In the second last chapter of his book, he mentions Babaji changing his form to that of Shiva. All of these accounts, along with additional reported meetings, are described in various biographies.[5][6][7]According to Yogananda's autobiography, Babaji has resided for at least hundreds of years in the remote Himalayan regions of India, seen in person by only a small number of disciples and others.[3][8] The death less Master is more than 2000 years old. He belongs to a very powerful lineage of Siddha Boganthar and Rishi Agastya as his Gurus. He acquired this deathless, non perishable body through tough yogik kriyas.
Again, according to his autobiography, shortly before Yogananda left for America in 1920, Babaji came to his home in Calcutta, where the young monk sat deeply praying for divine assurance regarding the mission he was about to undertake. Babaji said to him: "Follow the behest of your guru and go to America. Fear not; you shall be protected. You are the one I have chosen to spread the message of Kriya Yoga in the West
There are very few accounts of Babaji's childhood. One source of information is the book Babaji and the 18 Siddha Kriya Yoga tradition by Marshal Govindan.[9]According to Govindan, Babaji was named Nagarajan (king of serpents) by his parents. [8] V.T. Neelakantan and S.A.A. Ramaiah founded on 17 October 1952, (they claim – at the request of Babaji) a new organization, "Kriya Babaji Sangah," dedicated to the teaching of Babaji's Kriya Yoga. They claim that in 1953 Mahavatar Babaji told them that he was born on 30 November 203 CE in a small coastal village now known as Parangipettai, Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu, India.[10] Babaji's Kriya Yoga Order of Acharyas Trust (Kriya Babaji Sangah) and their branch organizations claim his place and date of birth.[10] He was a disciple of Bogar and his birth name is Nagarajan.[9][10]
In Paramahansa Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi, many references are made to Mahavatar Babaji, including from Lahirī and Sri Yukteshwar.[3] In his book The Second Coming of Christ, Yogananda states that Jesus Christ went to India and conferred with Mahavatar Babaji.[8] This would make Babaji at least 2000 years old.[11] According to Govindan's book, Babaji Nagaraj's father was the priest of the village's temple. Babaji revealed only those details which he believed to be formative as well as potentially instructive to his disciples. Govindan mentioned one incident like this: "One time Nagaraj's mother had got one rare jackfruit for a family feast and put it aside. Babaji was only 4 years old at that time. He found the jackfruit when his mother was not around and ate it all. When his mother came to know about it, she flew in blind rage and stuffed a cloth inside Babaji's mouth, nearly suffocating him, but he survived. Later on he thanked God for showing him that she was to be loved without attachment or illusion. His Love for his mother became unconditional and detached."[9]
When Nagaraj was about 5 years old, someone kidnapped him and sold him as a slave in Calcutta (now Kolkata). His new owner however was a kind man and he freed Nagaraj shortly thereafter. Nagaraj then joined a small group of wandering sannyāsin due to their radiant faces and love for God. During the next few years, he wandered from place to place, studying holy scriptures like the Vedas, Upanishad, Mahabharata, Ramayana, Bhagavad Gita.
According to Marshall Govindan's book, at the age of eleven, he made a difficult journey on foot and by boat with a group of ascetics to Kataragama, Sri Lanka. Nagaraj met Siddha Bhogarnathar and became his disciple. Nagaraj performed intensive yogic sadhana for a long time with him. Bhogarnathar inspired Nagaraj to seek his initiation into Kriya Kundalini Pranayam from Siddha Agastya. Babaji became a disciple of Siddha Agastya. Nagaraj was initiated into the secrets of Kriya Kundalini Pranayama or "Vasi Yogam". Babaji made a long pilgrimage to Badrinath and spent eighteen months practising yogic kriyataught to him by Siddha Agastya and Bhogarnathar. Babaji attained self-realization shortly thereafter.[9]
It is claimed that these revelations were made by Babaji himself to S.A.A. Ramaiah, a young graduate student in geology at the University of Madras and V.T. Neelakantan, a famous journalist, and close student of Annie Besant, President of the Theosophical Society and mentor of Krishnamurti. Babaji was said to have appeared to each of them independently and then brought them together to work for his Mission in 1942

Given our name, The Pointe at Kilpatrick, and our location, south suburbs of Chicago, one might think that we take St. Patrick's Day seriously. They would be right.
Residents started decorating their doors with shamrocks at the beginning of the month. There were also St. Patrick's Day themed crafts and activities, including the most anticipated, Soda Bread Baking. Each year, Program Director, Angie Garbaczewski, sets up the small kitchen on the first floor with all the ingredients and supplies for making homemade soda bread. And a lot of them. Starting bright and early at 8:00 and working in small groups, Angie guides the residents through the process. Once one batch is finished, she brings in the next group. This year, they baked for 8 straight hours. The first floor smelled heavenly all day. Once the breads had cooled, the residents would return to claim the one they made. Many of the residents were seen sharing their soda bread with other residents while others were saving theirs to give to family and friends.
St. Patrick's Day finally came and residents showed their true colors as many arrived for breakfast dressed in green. The hot topic at breakfast was lunch. Everyone was looking forward to the traditional meal of corned beef, cabbage, red potatoes and of course, soda bread. You can never have too much soda bread!
Lunch arrived and did not disappoint. The residents were greeted with the smell of corned beef as they neared the dining room. A sea of green filled the room as residents dined at beautifully decorated tables.
The celebrating didn't stop there, Garbaczewski booked a singer and harpist to play a St. Patrick's Day show the day after. Scheduling conflicts made it impossible for her, Kim Vogrin, to play at The Pointe on Monday. "She really is wonderful and well worth the wait." said Garbaczewski. "I knew she would be. Her brother, Paul, performed here on Valentine's Day, singing and playing various instruments. He was just as entertaining and talented."

Now the snapshots I've given you of the UCLA defense aren't exactly typical of their play (a 5-2 set and what appears to be a Cover 2 shell). Here's a real example of the standard UCLA defense: The Cover 4.
The difference between the Cover 4 and the Cover 2 (as given in the link above) is as follows:
The other big difference between cover 2 and cover 4 is the role of the corners. In pure zone cover 2 the cornerbacks stay low and defend the flats in their realm of responsibility. In press coverage they bump the WR's as they release and hand them off to the deeper safeties on the play while the corners play the shorter routes and watch for backs releasing into their area. In cover 4 the corners normally have responsibility for the WR's they align with and stay with them on deep routes.
As you can see in the snapshot above, the defensive backs have a lot of distance between the receivers to watch out for the deep routes that Longshore is capable of.
Another lovely day at the 2019 Carnevale di Venezia. I spent most of the morning ambling around Venice looking at the architecture, ambiance, and history of this lovely city. In the afternoon I spent some time with the models in the Piazza di San Marco and also San Zaccaria. I really appreciate that so many models let me shoot with them, given the very large number of more talented photographers there.

Given the nature of the seas off St Ann's Head I'd anticipated a bit more undercarriage but what do I know ...perhaps they were built to a budget rather than a spec.

Given the importance of the public's participation in the Afghan Presidential and Provincial Council elections next year, slated for 5 April, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) is helping facilitate debate and discussion on the Afghan-managed polls through gatherings across the country's regions, starting in the provinces of Bamyan and Paktya today. As well as raising awareness of the importance of taking part in the elections, the events also provide a venue to exchange ideas and views. The gatherings feature a range of speakers from governmental institutions and civil society, amongst others, speaking on panels, as well as a wide cross-section of members of the public.

Given that Spring has decided not to bother this year and we've been plunged back into an Arctic winter, it was nice to see the sun come out, even for just a second. Here it is shining through a bunch of trees and rough near our house.
