Unfortunately not many people in Australia celebrate it but today was a pretty good day anyway! I went to Port Adelaide which is pretty much like a ghost town and got some shots of some abanoned buliding and boats in blood red, red scale film. Then found the most amazing market place!! Bought some vintage carnival tin toys and a brownie camera which has been on the wish list for a while. I plan to respool 120 film onto the 620 spools since the 620 film is no longer available. Can't wait to try it out!

Ex-GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe hauls the Whistling Ghost train between Stourbridge and Kidderminster early on Saturday morning May 25, 2013. 5043 took this section of the Vintage Trains special from Tyseley (Warwick Road) Locomotive Works in Birmingham via Cradley Heath, Lye, Stourbridge Junction, Kidderminster, Cheltenham, Bristol, to Bishops Lydeard and back. Here in the deep rock cutting the sun had just about risen high enough to light the tracks. Ex-GWR Modified Hall Class 4-6-0 6960 Raveningham Hall took the Whistling Ghost on the section section of the steam trip to Minehead and back.
Witch's Shanty
Some say that the Phantom Rider was awaken by an anciant Indian curse, while others believe him to be the evil spirit of a long lost miner. The truth regarding the Phantom Rider's true identity may be found within the desert near a horrible old shack...
Along the desolate tracks leading out of Grave Stone, within the Valley of the Dead, a quiet little shanty stands alone in the desert. Within its rotten wood, lives an old witch, known to few by the name of Millicent Clemens. What spells does she conjure with her book of black magic, and what evil does she call upon to do her bidding? The mysteries of her magic rest within the caldron outside the Witch's Shanty, waiting to be summoned.

Richmond fair was a bit of a washout. Five bouncy castles an a ten-second ghost train. Thanks god they had dodgems!

Another detail, where you can see the track. The gauge of the track is a little over 3 inches inside.
The four car train on the left apparently left the yard with no motorman and came down the hill out of the yard hitting the outbound blue line train on the left.

Perry Remblance, Ghost Train

Recently acquired by Remblances, having formerly been an artic unit with Nelson Reid's Paratrooper, this ERF only did one season with the Ghost Train before being sold for preservation.
After the station's closure in 1964, the pub was renamed "The Ghost Train". It closed in 2008.
The car is my Hillman Avenger.
Jesse and his girlfriend Mary decided to sneak aboard the Ghost Train back at the Abandoned Station. Despite Jesse's reluctance, Mary insisted that "there's no such thing as a haunted train". Little did they know that they were about to embark upon a ride that would test their sanity. Just as the train switched track back at Crawford's Junction, the old Pullman coach got unhitched. As the 4-4-0 Steam Engine turned toward the Shadow Mountains, the passenger coach continued to roll toward the Valley of the Dead, a dreadfull place where few have returned. "We're out of control", Mary yells with fright! "Never mind that Mary", Jesse responds, "there's a ghost standing outside the car, and he's got a yellow hand! ". "HEEEEELLLLLPPPPP"! they both scream!

Rickety Water Tower
If you're trying to get away from someone or something near the desolate town of Grave Stone, you might think twice before setting a foot on the ladder of the Rickety Water Tower. Climbing high into the midnight sky, an old hoot owl stands perched on the rotting wood railing, watching all that is seen and unseen. A strange green liquid drips from the water tower's black spicket. Could it be the putrid water of Grave Stone? Perhaps... but maybe the water tower hides something more sinister within its large storage container, something that smells of death.

Ascer Twinn, Ghost Train

Several changes to the lineup at Buckingham this year included the first appearance of this Ghost Train, such an attraction having last attended four years ago in the shape of Joey Whitelegg's example.
An un-tonemapped regular closeup shot of RPSI steam locomotive No. 186. Here we see No. 186 crossing the Leixlip Viaduct with the Ghost Train Steam Special from Dublin Connolly to Mullingar to Dublin Connolly.
No. 186 is now lovingly preserved by the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland (RPSI), but she started her life as a mainline locomotive for the Great Southern & Western Railway (GS&WR). She's a Class J15 0-6-0 locomotive. The designation 0-6-0 means she has no leading wheels, six driving wheels (three on each side), and no trailing wheels. You can read more about No. 186 on the RPSI Website.
The Leixlip viaduct carries both the former Midlands & Great Western Railways (M&GWR) mainline, now an Irish Rail mainline, and the Royal Canal across the river Rye in Leixlip Ireland. The viaduct is located between the Intel plant and the village itself. From the viaduct you have a great view of the massive Intel complex, as well as an overview of the entire village.
In order to join the track pieces and be able to remove them easily after Halloween, I welded brackets on every end. Then I grind it smooth and test it with a spare trolley to make sure it rolls through with out binding.
Tim and Brigham are riding for the last time before taking everything down. I'm sad about it, but we'll most likely build it bigger for a commercial enterprise next Halloween season.
This is the control panel for the Haunted Castle dark ride that was at Miracle Strip Amusement Park in Panama City Beach. We took it down in October of 2004.

The Ghost Train is an annual event in Chesapeake. The 1 1/4 mile main trail between the entrance and the Northwest River is filled with static displays and the "Ghost Train", wooden wagons pulled by a tractor, takes people down the trail at night where live actors are added to the spooky displays. The local community is heavily involved every year.
