Often on a wild and stormy night, there's an eerie rattle, and a phantom train arrives, met by the ghost of the long deceased miller again.

Yes, I say again, as it's appeared on Flickr before at various times, but never as a square.

Yep, I know, What ever is in my head? 🤔😁

Strange, we've seen him before sitting waiting in the carriage, but the Sunday train is now sliding out of the station.

Rattling skeletons and creepy spiders - I hope you all have lots of fun.

The ghostbus is back.

Having departed this world nearly three years ago with the stench of Covid-19, the original ghostbus tour of Dublin is back, scary stories, graveyards & churches in a night time 2 hour tour of the city's murky past.

There's plenty of ghosts & ghouls lurking on O'Connell Street in the hours of darkness.

Ghostbus "Lucy " is seen on the first evening of the return on 13th September 2022 on O'Connell Street, operating three times a week at 7 & 9.30 pm....if you dare.

There's nothing quite like the eery chime whistle and the rasp from the ejector of a Gresley Streamliner to set the atmosphere for the Halloween Specials on the ELR...

A4 60009 'Union Of South Africa' is seen below the moonlight at Bury Bolton Street yesterday evening at 20:30, awaiting to depart with the final Ghost Train of the night.

In the dead of night it's often heard rattling and clanking on it's way to Weybourne.

It slid past me as I travelled the A149.

Tren Fantasma

Como una película de ficción. Me acerqué y estaba próximo a partir.

Y comenzó a moverse. Pero… no había rieles hacia delante.

Me paralicé. Mi sangre se detuvo mientras me quedaba atónito observando como esta inmensa formación fantasma se perdía entre la espesa niebla de la madrugada.

Ghost train

As a fiction film. I approached and was next to leave. Between the fog I could not see beyond my nose. In the distance we heard the sound of call to address. The cold didn't let me think at the same time that the fear prevented me from deciding to run. There was no driver or passengers, but the crowd noise was terrifying. And it began to move. But ... no rails forward. I froze. My blood stopped while I was stunned watching as this immense ghost train was lost in the thick fog in the morning.

A whiff of smoke, and steam, a clanking of couplings, and a ghost train can sometimes appear on Halloween at Sheringham station.

and a ghost platform Baker Street. All passengers were away

It didn't 'slide' past on Sunday, there was a ghostly rattle.

In the summer the rides at the end of the pier are busy, but at this time of year it's all relatively peaceful. I like it that way. :)

The weather was perfect that evening when I reached the old railway bridge that was closed many years ago to implement an idea I had some time ago.

...it was a lot of fun to weld old metal parts from the workshop to a small draisine and construct it so that everything fits nicely into my car and I just had to put the parts together and secure them with just a few screws. Then I only had to fight the 800 meters through man-sized thorn hedges so that finally the fun could begin

Several hundred small lights and a flashlight were used here,

single exposure under a starry sky in a dreamlike quiet place.

The most frightening and imaginative ghost train I have EVER been on! It was sooooo fricking good :D It had a lift hill, flashing strobe lights, references to lots of scary R rated horror movies and included random events such as some freaky looking guy popped up when you least expect it and whisper: "Tonight you DIE!" :0 Oh dear.....I felt like jumping out the hotel window! hehe

I did not take this one. It is the early facade of the Haunted Castle in Miracle Strip Amusement Park in Panama City Beach, Florida. It is probably from about 1967-69. Later it was rebuilt by Val Valentine with a big angry tree and a breaking board. The board broke when the car came out toward the front window and then repaired itself after the car was back inside again.

The welcome train at SL12B is by far one of my favourite things at the Second Life® Birthday celebrations!
