These are some more photos from the Bewdley Festival in October. Amanda (craftedfromtheheart) thought that they were only men dancers, but there were a few women as well.

On the way back from meeting up with Piet at Satara Rest Camp, Kruger National Park, we spotted a herd of elephant coming down to the waterhole to drink. I was hoping to get some photos of them rolling in the water, but they had their fill and began to walk off.

When we were driving around Kruger, we often came across Kudo cows and occasionally the magnificent Kudu bull.

I have going through the archives and found these photos that I took back in April.

I went to have x-rays and an ultrasound on my sore wrist today and I was sitting in the surgery for around two hours waiting for both procedures. Now to wait to see the surgeon again on Tuesday to see if he can come up with a solution to my problems.

I went for a walk with the 100-400 mm lens yesterday and I am still having trouble carrying it around - a bit of a worry when our trip to South Africa is only 4 weeks away on Monday.

When we were driving into Marloth Park after a day at Kruger, we spotted this little baby giraffe standing on the side of the road - there was no sign of the mother, so I am hoping that it wasn't lost. The light was fading, so I had to lighten these photos in photoshop quite a bit.

When we were staying in Bexhill, East Sussex, Pat (larigan here on Flickr) took me for a drive around the area and we called in at Slidon to see the Pumpkin Festival. I never realised how many different varieties of pumpkins that there are. It was a cold, wet day and we had pumpkin soup for lunch - yummy it was too.

One of our day trips from Bewdley in Worcestershire was a visit to Llangollen in Wales. What an interesting place!! We stopped for lunch in a cafe overlooking the River Dee where we watched the river running swiftly past as we ate our delicious food. After lunch we walked up the hill to see the horse drawn canal boats - very interesting.

When we went to Pilanesberg we stayed at Kedar Lodge which was once Paul Kruger's old property. It was a wonderful place to stay with animals wandering around the property and also the old homestead which has been turned into a museum.

I have been sitting here going through my photos from our three month holiday in 2011 and I came across this beautiful owl that we saw at the markets in Ludlow. It was also there when we visited in 2009, so I would say that the lady who runs the stall owns the owl.

This is another Hornbill that we saw during our visit to Satara Rest Camp where we met up with Piet. I think from memory this is called a Grey Hornbill (maybe Piet can let me know).

An amazing sunset on one of the beautiful mosque. This place is full of mistery and charm. Loved it

We are back home again from Gosford. We have the house and garden all shipshape ready for the open house on Saturday. Peter's Dad seems a bit happier in the nursing home which is good.

I had the stitches taken out of my wrist today and after worrying all weekend that a couple of the were stuck, they came out without any trouble.

Some more photos from our day at Featherdale Wildlife Park. It was so hot and all the enclosures had water sprays for the animals to cool off.

When we were driving around Pilanesberg Game Park we came across quite a few elephants and they were very close to the road which is exciting and good for photos (except that sometimes I would be so excited that I couldn't stop the camera from shaking LOL).

Is anyone else having trouble with Flickr - it has been playing up for me since last night. I notice that ads have been coming up in the right hand corner, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Some more animals from our visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park which is only about 15 minutes drive from our house.

Some more textures. I am having so much fun playing on PicMonkey.

It is a wet, cold, miserable day in Sydney again today so no chance to go out for photos. These were taken on one of our visits to Peter's Dad's house during a break from moving furniture.

It feels like our Winter has arrived a few days early, so it will be into the archives for a while.

My wrist/hand is not too bad today. I have started wearing the splint to bed again and it seems to make a difference. I think the fact that the temperature is 40C and supposed to be 42C tomorrow (and humid) makes a difference. My arthritis is a type that plays up in the humid weather, so I have aches and pains everywhere. It is going to be a long Summer.

These are some little Violas in my wheelbarrow garden with some purple and yellow Viola in the background.

When we were staying in Ludham, Norfolk, we took the paddlesteamer from Horning along the River Bure. It was a lovely trip with beautiful scenery and lots of lovely homes (I hate to imagine what they would cost). Most of them had boat garages where they could just cruise along the river and put the boat in safely on their return.

Sorry for so many photos, but it was hard to choose out of the hundred or so that I took LOL.

These are some more photos of the leopard that we saw in Kruger. He was staring intently at some impala in the bushes and slowly started to stalk them.
