When I pointed out to this gentleman that his buckle was upside down, he corrected me with a bit of history. The South was not always well equipped as the North, so they had to use what they could get. This "captured" Northern 'U.S.' buckle was purposely turned upside down and now becomes the South's "Southern Nation"
