This is my first attempt at studio photography. So comments and recomendations for improvement are definitely requested.

A little about the model...

Anna was awesome. I honestly think I was more nervous than she was. She's a 20 year old music major that models as well. Luckily for me, she was a pro at it. All I had to do was point my camera and shoot. She did all of the rest of the work. I'm hoping that I get to work with her again as I learn this part of photography.

A little about the studio....

One of my best friends here in Xian, Fiona ( www.flickr.com/photos/30723636@N05/) set it up so that one of the local photograpy store owners would let us use his lighting and backgrounds for a small fee. The guy that owns the shop is awesome. He stuck around and tried to explain to us how he did everything. He even brought in a Laoshi for us to ask questions. I had a great time. It's definitely something I am going to do again soon.

Using fusible applique paper trace the reverse of the tail pieces and comb, feet, beak and eye. Also with fusible applique paper make tow shapes big enough to cover the tail and comb. iron onto wrong side of fabric and cut out.
