This is Ginger getting a drink after eating Dry COB and heading towards me and my apples. Yes it is a regular thing now. I just set in my chair and if she wants apple she will come over. I have also gotten Bucky and Wilma to get close enough to sniff my finger tips, but they haven't take any apple yet.
After the performance everyone was signing our practice bibs but this dancer:) He was getting autographs on the head tape)))

Another little bit of test shooting. I think I've almost got what I was looking for. Just a few minor tweaks and I'll be cool. That's the biggest reason I'm not using this for my 52 week project... (yet) We'll see how the weekend goes.

I found this green moray at Catalina Island. My strobes weren't working properly so I shot this entirely by natural light. You can see the moray is being cleaned by some cleaner shrimp. Here one is crawling over his eye. The morays even open their mouths and let the cleaner shrimp clean their teeth. Cool.
Leticia Vargas and Jose Raygoza arrived at Cook County Clerk Karen A. Yarbrough’s downtown Vital Records Bureau Thursday morning expecting to get married shortly after they got their marriage license. The couple got married, but in a way they never could have expected.
Leticia and Jose, who live in Chicago’s Brighton Park neighborhood, planned to get married Thursday morning at Cook County Marriage Court after getting their marriage license at the Clerk’s office. They were accompanied by Leticia’s sister and her husband.
When Leticia and Jose applied for their marriage license shortly after 9 a.m., Clerk’s Office staff informed them of the one-day waiting period to get married. They left the Clerk’s office, prepared to get married another day, and took a walk to Millennium Park.
Meanwhile, the couple whose names Clerk Yarbrough had picked earlier this week from entries she received for the Clerk’s inaugural Valentine’s Day Wedding Sweepstakes – who would get married by the Clerk and take home an array of gifts, were getting cold feet. When Clerk’s staff contacted them about 9:40a.m. to check on their whereabouts, the couple said they had had a change of heart.
Vital Records Bureau Clerks Renita Brown and Arturo Martinez sprang into action, reaching out to Leticia and Jose to see if they still wished to be married Thursday. Their reply was an emphatic “yes!” Accompanied again by Leticia’s sister and her husband, “we ran back” to be married by Clerk Yarbrough, Leticia said. Vital Records staff got a judge to waive the one-day waiting period, and minutes after arriving back where they got their marriage license, Clerk Yarbrough pronounced Leticia and Jose husband and wife under the Clerk’s new wedding celebration alcove in the Vital Records Bureau.
“There are many special days for weddings, today especially,” Yarbrough said. “Everybody wants to get married on Valentine’s Day, because this is a day for lovers. And Leticia and Jose are truly lovers – they’ve been together for 26 years!” Reflecting on the turn of events that led to Thursday’s wedding, “this was just meant to be for them,” Yarbrough said.
Besides being married by the Clerk and getting their marriage license fee waived, Leticia and Jose were presented with a commemorative marriage certificate from the Clerk’s office, and the following gifts donated by local businesses:
- A bouquet of flowers and a boutonniere from Robert Daniels Florist
- A wine-tasting and winery tour from City Winery
- Tickets for a performance at The Laugh Factory
- A heart-shaped pizza and a gift card from Pizano’s Pizza
Asked why it took them 26 years to get married, 69-year-old Jose joked, “I wanted to be sure.” The couple plan to honeymoon in Spain, France and Italy this summer, with Leticia’s sister and her husband, who will be celebrating their 50th anniversary.
Last Valentine’s Day the Clerk’s office issued 161 marriage licenses, and another 153 couples got married on Feb. 14, 2018.

Angry, I know! This is in response to the cackling bitch at work who has nothing better to do but make up stories about other people's lives only because she's miserable and bored!
I'm a pacifist and I hate gossip. I don't engage in conversations that damage the reputation of people. I will not help spread unfounded rumours to entertain myself. I HATE THAT about some women. Why do we do it? I hate being a woman sometimes because I get painted with the same stereotypical brush as these catty, cackling bitches.
On a different note, my finger looks really big. wow... I have discovered quite a few things during these self portrait sessions.
This exchange was a great incentive for me to get working my Bel Air Imperial that was made in Occupied Japan. I don't know the year exactly. It is a class 15 machine that I have had for about 15 years now. I found the Singer cabinet recently at a local 2nd hand store. It had a working fiddle base Singer head from 1887 unceremoniously bolted on top, so I didn't feel too bad about modifying it to fit the Bel Air.

Photos from the 3rd annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk. This is me getting ready in the staging lanes before my semi-final run in my Sanyo A Fuel Dragster.
This little chap was on the floor dancing then gone before I had time to set my shutter speed. His dancing was inspired and he appeared to being doing cartwheels and spins at breakneck speed. And then he was gone.
I haven't posted anything recently as I am getting ready for the new year. If I am not back again til 2009, then Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all of you!
