Tammy is almost ready to enjoy some summer fun. I'm going to do another day or two of acne cream on her torso belt line stains. They are really light now, but I'll try a little more. I'll probably just let her hair dry in the sleeve without curling it, but I may try a few rollers.

Ringo, the one on the right, from our NSPCA Adopt-A-Bowl shoot about one year ago has finally found his Fo'ever home!

From the good people at Pawtastic Friends who worked tirelessly to make this happen:

"It’s hard to describe what today means to me or for that matter to many of us. Ringo has been waiting very patiently for his happily ever after. Well, guys today was the day. Everybody’s favorite boy Ringo has worked so hard for this day. Today wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of many many people that loved him. Rescue when done right is a group effort. Melissa worked tirelessly to get him to safety. She found a safe place for him to land at Friends For Life Humane Society. The changes in Ringo were almost immediate. The guys that run promised him that they wouldn’t give up on him. So today as a family we can all celebrate his happily ever after. Thank you to the volunteers that never gave up, the generous donors that made his Enrichment Training possible and to the many people who shared his journey. This is what happiness looks like. Ringo’s new dad loves him and Ringo has 50+ acres to play and even his own pond to splash in. He found the pond right off the bat. Let’s all continue to share the dogs that might take a bit longer to get adopted. There’re right home will come along. Happy Gotcha Day Ringo! We all love you. Love now and forever Fireball."

Get these leaves cleaned off the deck!

Okay! The yard guy, said Tuesday or Wednesday. Besides we already cleaned them off once!

Actually the Wren loves to forage through the leaves.

Left to right: Dave Gibbons, Cam Wilson, LJ Mounteney, Andy Millhouse, Brent Gubbels, and Allan Dionne. The core group is "The Wahs", which consists of Cam, Andy, and Brent.

The We're Here! gang is celebrating The Beatles today. As luck would have it, I went to a concert tonight that was having a Beatles celebration of its own.

The group performed almost exclusively late-period Beatles (there were a couple of early Beatles numbers too). Their creative arrangements were just wonderful, and included folk, Celtic, blues, jazz, and classical elements. Their five-part harmonies were delightful, and Cam's long, extraordinarily intricate fiddle riffs were beyond impressive. LJ's vocals were outstanding. It's no wonder she is sometimes referred to as the "Canadian Bonnie Raitt". For me, her vocal skills tied with Cam's fiddling for best performance.

Hair done, makeup on... Ready to start the day. Now I just need to pick out my outfit. Any suggestions?

We are reading through Marvel chronologically (Because that's fun!) and when we get to Spidey 29 in October 1965, what do we see? Stan Lee always tried to make everything about the comic fun, including his winks and nods to the readers on the splash page credits. And who is featured?

It's our Flickr friend Andrew P. Yanchus! He's coloring and, perhaps, clowning with the bullpen. We hope he's clowning because we're not sure what "clowing" would be. 😄

If you haven't discovered Andrew's stream, you'll be delighted to follow him as it is day after day of vibrant, four color, nostalgic goodness in toys, comics, magazines, greeting cards... you name it! 😊

As an aside, our copy of ASM 29 is in Marvel's digital format where they overly digitally process everything. We include page 12 in the collage above in its original separation glory.

I imagine pencillers and inkers aren't always happy with the loss of detail in the digital processing that a lot of the older comics are going through, but it seems to hit the colorists the worst.

More than 3200 people turned out for the No Kings 3.0 Rally in Vero Beach, Florida on March 28th, 2026. One of over 3,300 demonstrations that were held, with at least one protest in every state, and several taking place in other countries in support. In the USA an estimated 8 to 10 million people took to the streets in the largest single-day protest in American History. This widespread participation highlighted the collective sentiment against fascism, the Trump Administration, the war in Iran, as well as ICE violence and killings. Resist!

I have my Christmas top but need something on the bottom half What do you think? Pencil skirt, Leather mini or Leather trousers ?

I'm hungry. They're getting it all ready for me... Let's go.

In the summer, as the weeds begin to flower in my garden, the Dainty Sulphur butterfly appears. Getting this close to one takes a lot of patience and stealthy movement. But once the butterfly is comfortable with your presence, you can take as many pictures as you want provided you don't touch the butterfly or cause its perch to move.

The old bumper came off last week so I could respray the rear valance and then once that was dry I could get on and fit the brand new bumper, looks so smart now! I have decided I am going to leave the wiper in place and not attack the dent as come sale time I think its better for me to be honest and sell her as she is.

Still a few things to do to her then it will be time to say goodbye unfortunately.
