Positano's Beach, from the foot of Covo dei Saraceni.
"Marina Grande Beach, known in Italian as Spiaggia Grande (Large Beach), is the main beach of Positano, located in the southern part of the town.
The beach measures about 300 meters in lenght and about 50 meters in width, and is one of the liveliest and most cosmopolitan beaches on the Amalfi Coast.
Marina Grande has two bathing establishments, which rent sun beds and umbrellas and provide changing rooms and showers, and a free area (spiaggia libera) in the middle. From here, you can rent a boat to Capri or to visit the nearby coves.
At the northern edge of the beach, there are restaurants, bars and cafés, and at the eastern limit you can find the famous night club Music On the Rocks." (italyscapes.com)

A trail through the larch. These trees will be turning a beautiful gold in the next couple of weeks. Worth a visit.
Domus Triptolemi, or House of Triptolemus, Pompeii.
"The House of Trittolemo opens on one of the most prestigious areas of the city, in front of the Basilica and near the Forum, the center of political and commercial life. It owes its name to the famous fresco in the triclinium depicting Trittolemo, the hero who transmitted the knowledge of agriculture to men, while receiving a basket of spikes from the goddess Persephone. The house has undergone restoration works in 2014 which gave new life to the beautiful frescoes and mosaics. The most important environment of the house is the one that opens onto the back of the courtyard, which has a mosaic floor with a very rare decoration in perspective cubes similar to that found in the cell of the nearby Temple of Apollo and in the Temple of Jupiter. to the house a particular importance and elegance. The house was built in the second century. B.C. and it was profoundly renewed after the conquest of Silla of 80 B.C. with new and refined frescoes, which bear witness to the wealth and importance of the owner.

Zion National Park, Utah
Flowing water, even as small streams, can have very big consequences in carving the land. Visible here are striations on the sedimentary rock canyon wall where groundwater had seeped out laterally and chemically reacted with minerals, leaving behind "stains" on the rocks.

What a surprise show tonight!
I got lucky traveling through Vincentown at a spot I've shot from before with good luck and I got to watch as this line of storms that had been kind of parked west of the city finally started to move out as the sun went down. There was so much lightning in this line, it was like a disco. First, C2C was only visible by the brightness in the sky but as this moved in, it started jumping out of the clouds every second. This thing had structure, presenting both a decent shelf cloud and a well formed wall cloud, and so, so, so much lightning.
