Me on one of the foundation blocks that we plumbed and leveled for the decking of the hikers shelter.
As many of my miles occurred on flagging trips, GPSing trips, and trail maintenance trips as did on hikes. I would venture to guess that I bushwacked more miles than anyone else participating in the Challenge.
This Hike 100 adventure was a great way to get out and explore the beautiful area I currently live in. I have hiked the trail before, but only stuck to a stretch of it near Marquette. Through this journey I have explored much more of the Upper Peninsula and the quiet woods that I cherish so dearly. There are so many places people travel to in order to "get out and explore", but some of the best country to explore is along the NCT.
A great challenge to accomplish along with seeing other trials sections from different States. I didn't know if it could be done with additional trail activity going on. Due to adverse flooding in No. WI. we were on the tread lot's clearing and opening up the trial. Not to mention having a large boardwalk to build, make for loads of trial time. I hope folks were able to get their 100-miles in both as a challenge and to make others aware of getting outdoors. Thanks for your help in providing such an offer. Happy hiking!
I hiked 93 miles with the Clarion County Chapter of North Country Trail Association aka Tour de Clarion. I met a bunch of great people and did a couple other independent hikes. I hiked just over 300 miles total in various places this year. Hope to do more I 2017.
I helped build this bridge I'm proud of it, because it was my very first one. Now it's becoming old hats.

I once heard someone say " I live in two world's, one is called civilisation the other one is my Home " .

I've organized trail races on the trail (a 10.5 mile'r), spent 4-5 (multiple times) taking the trail as far north as I could in the allotted time I had, and enjoyed every minute of it! What a beautiful, well maintained trail. Thank you to everyone who helps support the trail, makes it a friendly place to hike, and practiced great trail stewardship!

I was excited to complete the 100 mile challenge and actually finished in February, doing most of my miles on snowshoes near Marquette, MI. We also did some extra family hikes and searched out some new locations, exploring a trail section near Petoskey, MI that was very nice this past summer... The challenge is a fun idea and I am excited to see it back for 2017! Happy Trails and Godspeed!!!
Photo taken on Day 5 of our back along the Wokkpash Lopp route in Stone Mountain and Northern Rocky Mountain Provincial Parks in northern British Columbia. This day we day hiked in the Forlorn Lake area and up to Mt. Saint Magnus viewpoints.
One of Wampum chapter monthly hikes. Hikers out in front of me. I was a sweep again. This is from another angle.

Shelby grew up in the comfort of the Baltimore suburbs and is a proud University of Maryland alumna. Her unique career story, where she went from being a majority to being among ‘the only’, will reshape your thinking about the impact of unequal opportunities on our daily lives.

Photo taken on Cuerville Island, an island off the west coast of Graham Land in Antarctica. It has a small Gentoo Penguin colony, a nice snow climb up to a point, and a scenic inlet to cruise.
