This must be the same horse. These little drawings were done in minutes.

The other day I found the website of one of my drawing teachers, Aethelred Eldrige. He wasn't the instructor who took us to the fair, but some of his ideas must have influenced me a bit. He was a very unique person, and according to his website, he is still teaching at Ohio University, and the only one of my teachers still there.

I tried to leave a comment on his blog, but it didn't seem to work, so here it is:

I was in your classes in the late 60s, a rather odd time to be in college as it turned out. I remember that you, and several of my other teachers, pretty much left us to our own devices. I suppose I learned quite a bit anyway. I took several drawing classes with you, and perhaps some other classes. One time you gave me some honey to sample in your office. I recently found a little notebook of drawings which I made about that time and have been putting them on flickr. I think that some of you would be amazed that I am still working with sketches that I made in 1969 and for the first time other people have seen them. Anyway, very glad to have found your website.
