First Child. Drawn from life at Chingford lifedrawing club. It was a real privilege to draw Pauline who was pregnant and didn't have long to wait before her first child :)
Charcoal and pastel expressive figurative drawing from Chingford life drawing last night. Emilie modelled for us and produced some superb poses throughout the night. I was using compressed charcoal and Rembrandt pastels on newsprint paper.

Gesture drawings of Henry on the back deck, stopping for a sritchy on his way to the garden. I used a 27 second video clip, extracted some stills for reference. The exposure on this clip was pretty back but that's ok. Gesture drawings are about expression and movement more than anything else.
