if you walk just a bit furthur and look out into the left, the expanse of garbage is unbelieveable. it stretches into the horizon and is constantly smoking with smothered fires. the acrid stench of toxic smoke fills every crevice.
Ron, the landlord at the Springfield house that Chad, Nathan (later to be replaced by Cass) and I rented, was always renovating something. As such we generally always had a pile of garbage in our backyard.
I got off the expressway ramp at my usual exit when heading home, this time however i noticed a large pile. Someone gathered a pile of garbage and appropriately labeled it so and left it there. I guess it's good, If it hadn't been labeled one might not recognize a pile of trash.
Garbage day, August 4, 2011. The sign on the pole indicates the location to drop off your garbage (Mondays & Thursdays). Our house is left of the pole. Our neighbor (house right of the pole) coordinates garbage pickups. He places a net over the garbage to protect it from birds.
