Peachy-orange with a kick! Fuzzy Navel is snapped and serged in butterscotch. This velour is a limited edition color; it was a custom dye lot that we were able to purchase a small amount of.
Fuzzy Bee's new logo made by Dick Pudles with Sabre Parabola, IM Dick Pudles inworld if you need logos done, he is great!
Last night, on my way to buy a bottle of wine to drink while Bruce and I watched Wayne's World, I stopped to pick some flower pods off a tree for a drawing I'm working on. Today, while working on that drawing, these totally rad furry seeds fell out of it! I can't decide what they look like exactly; a fuzzy comma? A pony with a mane that goes all the way around its head? Some weird crusty california punk with a mohawk, goatee and an underbite? Anyone know what they are?
This is from a photo-shoot that took place back in December for Fuzzy and his car. A few guys started a new car blog, geared more towards the audience getting to know the owner and quality photography rather than countless crappy shots and a few words tied together thoughtlessly.
Check them out!
Also, check another automotive blog run by a great group! Geng or die!
Boa semana meninas!
What is this guy?
Found in northern New Jersey, April 2009 near a river, but not too near. Busy bothering the flowers. Very slow flyer. Hovered at the flowers like a hummingbird. At first glance thought it was a tiny Clearwing Hummingbird Moth but now I see it's a fly. This picture doesn't show the color of it's fuzzy butt very well, it was a brownish tan. Picture in the comments shows another angle and the color better.
Really wish I could get a clear shot of them hovering at a flower or maybe even video but no luck. Next year I guess. I found a bunch of them about 3 weeks ago and this one let me handle it because I'm guessing it was about to die. Which leads me to believe that we're at the end of the fuzzy butt fly season, right? Anyone?
Delightfully fuzzy. Growing in wilderness preserve San Juan Capistrano, CA. Reminds me of Indian Milkweed
Fellow Flickrite Mondomuse and I were lucky enough to be invited by orchid dude to his garden open house recently. His garden is as gorgeous as his photostream suggests, and this particular stunning greenhouse plant, an African violet relative, drew my attention with its fuzzy silvery-white foliage.
Thanks for helping this make EXPLORE, #494 on May 5, 2011!
