Description
Vintage 1951 Whitman Fuzzy Wuzzy Tell-a-Tale Book.
Fuzzy Dan by Jane Whitehead, with illustrations by Clarence Biers.
There is red textural flocking to add dimension on almost every page! Dan's red chaps have a "fuzzy" surface on the cover and throughout the book.
Measures 5.5" x 6.5".
Bumped corners, writing on inside covers (in pencil) light scuffing to front and back cover.
Unintended panning but I like the blur :)
We've been conducting some data gathering for river profiling and I was amused at children having fun on their swim and taking turns jumping from the top of a rock into the water.
There once were intelligent people thinking about atoms and quantals. Maybe some of them were just laying on the ground and watching dandelion parachutes fly away.
365 Days in Colour 7/31 light blue. My slippers, which I just washed & dried. Unfortunately it caused some of the foot padding to bunch up near the ball of the foot, making them painful to wear. So ... Goodbye slippers.
these socks are nothing special to look at, but they're my favorite to wear with my motorcycle clogs in the winter -- thick, fuzzy, warm, and snug-fitting. sadly, smartwool doesn't make them anymore, so I have only this pair and a darker gray pair to my name.
In case you're wondering whom I got that fuzzy-socks obsession from, it would be my mother. Unless I converted her, which is more plausible, actually. I'm helping support her feet so we can admire her socks.
Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish (Dendrochirus brachypterus)
July 15, 2005.
The Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish, is also called the Shortfin Lionfish or simply the Dwarf Lionfish. It has red, white, and black vertical stripes along the body; large, fan-like pectoral fins; and tall, quill-like dorsal fins. Dendrochirus zebra may also be called the Dwarf Lionfish.
A 30 gallon or larger aquarium with numerous hiding places is suitable. It will hide while acclimating to its new environment. The top spines are venomous, causing reactions similar to a bee sting.
The Dwarf Lionfish diet consists of meaty foods such as live shrimp (including ornamental shrimp), live fish, and sometimes, crustacean flesh.

This is what the field looks like in front of my home in the early morning sunlight. In a week or so all this beauty will be mowed down and eventually fed to cows. Tis the cycle of life.
He was so cute! I saw him in the middle of the road and helped him over to the side with a leaf so he wouldn't get stepped on by people walking or cars driving past. If anyone knows what kind of moth or butterfly he would turn into, please let me know! taken in Wheeling, West Virginia in Oglebay Park.
My catwoman wearing the new outfit set from Groove: "Fuzzy Logic". I love that whole set, so many cool pieces to combine! I love the hat and the trousers most! When I saw the promo photos, I didn't notice that the trousers are so detailed.
Fuzzy dice are an automotive decoration consisting of two over-sized plush dice which hang from the rear-view mirror. The practice of fuzzy dice originated in the U.S. in the 1950s and is considered one of the first items sold specifically to be hung from a rear-view mirror.

I don't know what this plant is and can't find it in any of my plant/flower books. It seems to grow readily among moss. I love the way that it retains moisture.

This is from a photo-shoot that took place back in December for Fuzzy and his car. A few guys started a new car blog, geared more towards the audience getting to know the owner and quality photography rather than countless crappy shots and a few words tied together thoughtlessly.
Check them out!
Also, check another automotive blog run by a great group! Geng or die!
Fresh imported green almonds that I picked up at the farmers market. For me, these are a real treat to see because nut trees do not grow here. I love the soft green colour and velvety look and feel of them. I especially love that there were still fresh almond leaves among the nuts.
Green almonds are only available for a brief 8-week period from late April to the middle of June, which is one of the reasons they have always been considered such a delicacy. One of the other reasons, and perhaps the most important, is their distinct taste. Within the green almond’s fuzzy hull lies a jelly-like inside and a skinless, white almond with a gelatinous texture, similar to a firm grape. These luscious pleasures encompass a subtle flavor that has been described as grassy, fruity, and even simply as “green.”
Whether they’re used in green gazpacho or as a garnish to an entrée, green almonds are appearing on top chef menus all around the world. Take Chef Laurent Manrique of Aqua for example. He pairs delicate green almonds with fish to bring balance to salty dishes like striped sea bass with saffron rice, chorizo, and fruits de mer. And then there’s Chef Thomas Keller of The French Laundry who picks green almonds fresh from the orchard to accompany his popular entrée of sautéed sirloin of Cloverdale Farms rabbit and his salad with mizuna and Santa Rosa plums. Even the Ritz-Carlton dining room in San Francisco offers a chilled Dungeness crab appetizer with pineapple compote, fuzzy green almonds and watercress.
