A duck made with 2 strands of yarn held together- fuzzy yarn in varying shades of pink, yellow, and orange (something from Big Lots), and Caron Simply Soft in Mango, a G hook ('cause fuzzy is tough you need a bigger hook!) , and 12mm safety eyes. He's about 7" tall, with an 8" wingspan.

Duck pattern by Amy Gaines, from the Amigurumi Easter Pattern Collection.

This was my first fuzzy amigurumi project, and until I got the hang of using the yarn, it was difficult! I used this wepage for hints on how to work with fuzzy yarns.

I also found I lost the ability to count my previous rounds from the fuzzyness, so I made a slip of paper with each round number (and number of stitches)and just checked off when I finished a round to keep track!

He is the Duck of Awesomeness, because his cute look was totally accidental. Not only did I sew his beak on crooked, I also meant to put the eyes in straight too! I wonder if I can recreate the look on my next one? I know they will be a next one, since I found Fun Fur at the Dollar Tree today. I also ordered joints to give him articulating arms, since every way I positioned them was really cute, I want to try one with pose-able wings!

They were way too warm to pose in today! Round 112 ANSH: fuzzy comfy socks

If one Australian Bear had

a friend -an intellegent octopus, this is how

they might look together)

Seen in the southern part of Israel. I have no idea what this plant is only that it is beautiful.

It was a glorious day, sunny and not too warm, and I was lucky enough to get to spend some time at the arboretum. I don't know what these are, but their fuzziness was striking.

I have to admit, I'm tempted to go to the class ....

Thank you for looking!

I am grateful for my warm, fuzzy slippers, especially since it finally got cold!

Figured I might as well jump on the bandwagon :)

Fuzzy toque and fuzzy hood

I am told these little fuzzy caterpillars have toxins on their fuzzy that causes rash or itchy skin ... hmmm

Seen this guy hanging around on the front porch one morning.

I've not a clue as to what this tree is called! It's really pretty and has a very soft texture.

Isabella Tiger Moth - Pyrrharctia isabella (caterpillar, ~32 mm)

Location: Durham NC (USA)

Found crawling along a sunny trail and brought in for some studio shots before being released on its way. I wanted to get photos of the true legs and prolegs, but the fuzzy coat kept blocking them. Aha! I finally realized that if I gave the cat a narrow twig, I could see all the legs wrapped around that. Rotating the perch over, I could see the ventral side, especially the prolegs. It was also neat to see the shape of the caterpillar body under all those hairs .

He born in the 60's ou 70's...

One of my favourite shots from my trip to Zagreb in 2004. Loved the almost tilt-shift look from using the Jupiter-9 85/2 lens from the other side of the street. Shot on a Voigtlander Bessaflex TM with Tri-X. A dreamy snap of Old Europe charm.

Even the fuzzy buds were sparkling with waterdroplets this morning

A screen-grab from a YouTube posting of vintage British buses. This early 1950s scene is of a 1936 Grimsby Corporation AEC 664T trolleybus, with Roe central-entrance bodywork.. The location is Victoria Street, close to the junction with Corporation Street and Central Market. Grimsby Corporation Transport joined forces with neighbouring Cleethorpes in 1957, finally ending trolleybus operation in June 1960. The central-entrance AEC trolleybuses had all been withdrawn by the time of the merger. I do remember a number of rides on these vehicles - they seemed as formidable as battleships to my infant eyes.

film from 2011 that I should have uploaded before now. oops...

These Fuzzy Bud's are from a Magnolia Flower.

I made this panda for the CRAFT Crochet-Along. I'm sensitive to wool, so I used 100% acrylic yarns for my fuzzy panda (white Lion Brand Vanna's Choice and black Red Heart Soft).

I also tweaked the pattern slightly to make the head rounder and the body and limbs longer. I've detailed all my changes in my fuzzy panda blog post, in case you're interested!
