I ordered this helmet on eBay, it is a much better fit and look to the actual Henchman figure than the first one I had planned to use. The other one barely fit on his head and the chin strap was a bit of a pain to work with.
Way too much free time to play around with photos, but I am getting better at it.

So it’s been about 4 years since I got my first Fuzzhead Action Man figures and while I did clean them up, there wasn’t much help in cleaning the dust from their flock thoroughly. The best response I got was tweezers and a pin to comb out the flock but that left a lot of stuff in.
That and it being several years since I got them, I really wanted to see if I could clean the fuzz a bit deeper. So, I got a soft toothbrush and gently brushed out the dust and hair and junk, using tape to pick up the remaining stuff.
Surprisingly all my fuzzheads look much glossier and newer despite the missing patches of hair now heh.
I really want to give a BIG THANK YOU to Haz for helping me out with the wheels & axles I needed for this custom project.

1 & ½ years gathering parts & accessories
6 hours repairing broken parts
4 hours washing everything
8 hours buffing off marks & scrapes
Having a fairly decent AT Training Tower PRICELESS!
The box is rough, snake is not original & some things could be better, but I’m happy with it & that’s all that matters.

Hi Folks,
For the past two weeks I have not really felt like doing much Joe wise. Mainly due to fall depression & some family issues. Well today was a sunny fall day here in NH & my family issues are getting better. I am now getting back into the swing of my Joe collection, enjoy.

On a whim I tossed this custom Joe together yesterday, but for some reason I am at a loss to come up with a name for him. He is kind of a Magnum PI, Tom Selleck want to be, but Magnum just doesn’t fit him.
Thanks

I got into Joe because I knew that I wanted to repair & restore Joe to his former glory. Now it has taken several years to develop the skills & abilities to do what I want, but I think I finally have something to show for all my time & effort on this front.

Kind of a kitbash/custom I’ve been playing around with this past week. I am going to do something different down the road with his clothing, but this is more to show off his custom made fishing pole & reel. Everything I used to make the pole & reel was found around the mouse house. Bamboo skewer, carpet thread, wire ties from a Wal-Mart Joe box, plastic paint brush handle, tooth pick, metal bead (bobber), an old earring from Mrs. Mouse & super glue. The hardest part was tapering the bamboo skewer from 1/8th inch. Down to 1/16th inch., but after that everything came together real nice. For some reason every time I make something from scratch it turns out on the small side, I guess that might be from too many years working in 1/24th scale.

As promised here is my Spy Island set. As you can see I am still missing the Camera & the Spotlight. Also I have temporarily replaced the Detonator strap with some black ribbon, gonna fix that with some brown leather I have.

Wipeout in the drain pipe, with Hunter Joe on the lookout. I nicknamed the Chipmunk Wipeout because of the way it chirps & grunts at me, it sounds like it’s saying Wipeout.

I want to say thanks to all of the people, who have viewed, commented and added photos to their favorites. My three years on flickr have been very enjoyable and have met lots of great people! And thank you to all of my flickr friends for all of their support and encouragement throughout the years.
I had some fun in the sun today with Zip Line Joe, he is sliding down a 200' long zip line set up I made from about 40' up.

As the sun set Joe reflected on his "Banana suit" and whether he was tired of a life amongst the trees.
I made this entire figure from junk & recycled parts.
Wal-Mart body, feet, legs, hips, pelvis, torso, & arms
40th neck post, & head
Vintage Action Man hands
Vintage GI Joe neck hook

I finally finished my custom Limited Edition FHQ figure. Man it’s been about a year from start to finish on this guy. I would like to thank all my FHQ brethren that made this possible. So thank you, Jim, Eliot, Brian, Tom, & Chet. Special thanks to Don Coffey & thanks to a few other friends Bob for his fine casting work, Gary for parts & John for the mint blue jumpsuit. If I left anyone out sorry, I thank you too.
Here is to a great group of friends, have a cold one!

Hermit thrushes are hard to see -- they go up in the trees, they stay still, they blend in. Caught this fuzzhead trying to hide.
I recently picked up a VAM Lifeguard for a song, yah he had some heavy damage & was in need of a lot of repairs, but I think I pulled him back from the brink. The chrome on the scabbard was all but worn off & the pommel guard was damaged, so I stripped off the chrome plating to do repairs. The red pieces you see were scratch made. The belt is made from a heavily converted civil war rifle sling & cartridge pouch, bits I picked up cheap. His uniform went fairly fast new suspenders & just a few stitch tacks here & there.
