Two of the three immature green herons (aka Fuzzheads), waiting near their nest for their parents to deliver breakfast. Their more adventurous sibling is exploring a nearby branch. Wildwood Park, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Our baby green herons are growing up fast and although they are now wandering away from the nest they still aren't ready to be on their own. This one and his two siblings, still wearing their baby fuzz, had just been fed by one of the parents and were sitting in the tree near the nest, waiting for the arrival of more food. Juvenile green heron. Even as fuzzy headed youngsters the green herons look grouchy. Wildwood Park, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Attempt #2 with the new macro lens. It takes a bit of getting used to, but I think I've learned how to go at the subject with the manual focus. Well, you tell me -- how's it look?
As a sidenote, the camera with the new lens is very heavy. It's too bad all the mechanisms are so sensitive, because I could probably bludgeon an auroch to death with it.
And I deserve points for using the word "auroch."

This is my best ATHQ, my show piece if you will. About 5 years ago you couldn’t give away the ATHQ, no one wanted them so I ended up with 4 of them. I ended up keeping 2 of the HQ’s, 1 was very badly damaged beyond repair, the other had mold issues with the cardboard. This is why I have so many hooks, hangers, shelves, & headsets. Yup even have the gas nozzle, hose, hook, & split rivet. The only vintage ATHQ part that I am missing is the cardboard map table base, I made the base in this photo. Oh did I mention that the buzzer & search light still work great.
Sincerely
