Overlapped exposures at Dublin Corners
Shooting the Ondu 6x12 at full width requires shooting only the even-numbered frames with the 6x6, 12 frame numbers. I dutifully started with frame number two, then forgot I had switched modes from 6x9 and only advanced to frame number three and then to four and so on. Such is life.

A small(!) part of my late sister-in-law Shirlee's Japanese Doll collection, in the bottom shelf of their glass-front bookcase. I slid back the door to take the photograph, hence the reflections above.
Exposure time was close to an hour as I remember; it was not well lit.

After my abbreviated hike I stopped at Wolf Creek Glenn, where I have taken many photographs, intending to finish the roll.
I saw a young woman doing yoga on a stone picnic table, beautifully illuminated from behind. I watched from a spot where I assumed she could see me and, when she came to a good stopping place, asked if I could take a couple photographs. She happily agreed.
She introduced herself as Jessica; I gave her one of my cards.

After walking the falls at Letchworth, the Ondu 135 and I headed for Dublin Corners Farm Brewery for good beer, good music, and more playing with the Harmon Phoenix 200. I made a couple attempts to make sense of the color and light with this one. I think I prefer this version.

Winter Window at Hogsback Overlook
I started and ended at Hogsback. I took this photograph when I passed through midway. Last shot on the roll.
Back at Letchworth State Park on Friday. The snow was falling with a gentle breeze; temperature was just shy of 30F. It was beautiful as I headed out on the trail.

Pictober 18 - Utopia
Utopia - an ideally perfect place, especially in its social, political, and moral aspects - exists only in approximation. It struck me that an important first step in finding such approximations is learning to be happy where one is right now, recognizing the faults and limitations but choosing to be happy in spite of them. Call it a restless contentment.
I lay down in the back yard and pointed the camera straight up. We rather like our little place. It's not perfect, it always needs work, but it will do.
