Images taken along the River Wey just below Guildford.
These are some of the first images taken whilst testing out a newly converted full-spectrum Lumix GX1. These were taken with a 590nm Infrared filter on the lens. They were R-B channel swapped in CS6 then processed in LR5.
More tests from a newly converted Full spectrum GF3 with a 590nm 'goldie' filter on the lens. R-B swapped. The rain is incessant so these are just quick snaps in the back garden before the next downpour.

An 8:5 aspect of a ~50,4MP infrared panorama, resulting in 3995 x 2497px ~10MP, but still better quality then the 12,3MP D90 would deliver with a single shot, and still pretty wide angle I would say despite the crop. Cheers..

Part X of the "lost gorge series": One probably can't tell, but I felt the need to go a bit old school with this, flattened out the shadows etc., so it's not as high fidelity as it could be (on purpose).
Also, I seem to have a liking for 'unnecessarily panoramic' images 😜, this is just a bit of the middle of my 3 row panorama setup, I mean I could have done this handheld, easy. Is it probable? Not in the slightest! There is soo much going on in that place / scene, it really is a matter of exclusion and I'm not sure if I know how to do that. 😓
That's the beauty of (self) imposed limitations, I guess. I have my panorama rig going, and I think, "ok, I just do the waterfall, that can't hurt", and then "ok, let's do some photos on each side, just in case", and then on the computer I end up using every pixel of it, don't think of cropping and loving it! Even though I know, there are these beautiful trees above and there is this cool carved out water channel below one can't see, but I'm good with it, I sort of take is a (panoramic) snapshot. Weird, huh? Can anybody relate to this? If you think it's shit, that's ok too of course.
Technically it's a 6-piece pano, cylindrical stitch, 12411 x 4160px, ~51,6MP.

That's sort of a murky high-key sepia lazy afternoon development of Spruce² I really like, not sure why exactly.
Technically it's a 360° 27206 x 15297px ~416,2MP IR panorama, then 9244px ~85,5MP squared. Due to the ² format and Flickr's 'best display size', this lends itself to zooming in.

So it is UV + visible light + IR, does it offer something in particular here? I don't think so! 😝
I am more surprised that there is not fringing around the branches and stuff, but there is none of it, perhaps due ot the monochrome / sepia development, so no channel swaps, yanking on levers and other stunts involved here.
Rather unintentional in terms of composition, since it was part of a test series, however, I ended up liking it. Kind of a non-traditional panorama, non-exciting; sloping meadow, trees, more trees, bland sky with just this one contrail. Some sad sh** actually, cause this is "winter"! 😒 But also all sorts of lines, in the trees, shadows etc., actual and implied, and how much of freakin' forest does one need to the right? Reminds me a bit of the output of cameras like these Widelux, or XPan where one is stuck with this panoramic format no matter what. Sometimes it's great, sometimes not.
Technically, it's a 9 piece pano, cylindrical stitch, finished off with 14344 x 4272px, ~61,3MP.

Sigma SD14 with 850nm filter bw edit with Sigma photo software, I had this idea to make the yellow black series in Infrared. Just when I had time to make pictures the sun had gone. I tried a few but then it started to rain. However the result is better than expected. I have pushed the contrast and light heavy but the result is getting close to what I had in mind.
While travelling for about three weeks across Namibia we encountered some wonderful landscapes and wildlife. Here's an infrared landscape shot at Garub between Aus and Luderitz. The mountain on the left is called Dikwillem (Fat William) after the German emperor, reminding of the German colonial period (roughly 1880-1915) of the country. Your comments are welcome! Full spectrum converted Nikon V2, 590 nm filter.
