It was a cold winter day.
The Rideau Falls are two waterfalls located in Ottawa, Canada where the Rideau River empties into the Ottawa River. The falls are divided by Green Island, with the Old City Hall just to the south. The falls were named by the early French for their resemblance to a curtain, or rideau in French. The Rideau River was later named after the falls. The Rideau Canal was constructed to bypass these falls and the Hog's Back Falls.

The Synagogue is not in use since 1907 since the community grew too big. Nevertheless they still took care of the second row building. It was damaged during the November Pogroms but not destroyed completely as the neighbors were afraid, their houses could be harmed.
It was used as storage, workshop and stood empty with no care until 1993 when it was restituted to the JCC which later sold it to the town of Hagenow in 2001. Now it's part of the local museum and used for concerts.
The museum's hours are short, so I had no chance to visit it.
There's no jewish community in town anymore.

I took this last Sunday before the weather turned a lot colder. Although I can develop the film quickly myself, I don't have a scanner so I have to send it out--hence the delay.
Shot with Acros 100 II on the Mamiya 6. Blazinal developed.
