Homemade Pizza
Fresh & Hot out of the oven!
Wanted something different so made this Pizza with a Spelt Crust. I put garlic, broccoli, mushrooms, feta and Romano cheese on the Pizza. Yummy!

You know what's hard? Trying to take a picture of your cake houses.
Not hard at all? Eating all of the cake houses.
My homemade version of an oreo, finally filled and ready to be eaten.

If there was ever a time to make candy that boosts your immunity, now is the time! FYI you do not need a MagicalButter machine to make these gummies: www.suziethefoodie.com/how-to-make-your-own-candy-diy-imm...
Sunday May 2nd
Isobel slept kind of badly yesterday, mostly for my sake not hers. She slept a lot but kept trying to knock me out of bed. She finally got up at 6 and Brandi and I played "lets try and nap" a couple of times before finally both getting up around 9ish.
We drove out to Matt's for 11:30 and proceeded to make perogies. It was pretty easy and a lot of fun. April and the Birds were there with their lil uns and we all took turns doing stuff.
After perogy making we headed home for dinner (chicken and buns) and watched some more Chuck. Gave Isobel a bath and now off to bed.
Smooth poppy seed filling with a lovely nutty taste, all wrapped up in a crumbly whole wheat crust, topped with streusel and meringue.

Popeye. Popeye knows. Canned spinach? Ain't nothin wrong with that. Its protein-packed, slightly salty smoothness perfectly compliments the texture and spice of one hot homemade bowl of lentils.
I like eggs and I like egg sandwiches, but I refuse to eat the kind at fast food restaurants so I make my own. I've discovered a way to make the egg fluff way up like they do in the fast food places. :)
The finished product. It smelled so good while it was baking. Had a big slice with vanilla ice cream for dessert, and it was yummy. Not bad for my first time!
Espresso and walnut cake from Julian Day's book Classic Artisan Baking, frosted with a homemade ricotta (yep, I made the ricotta too)-mocha frosting and dusted with cocoa.
Homemade pizza from scratch. The topping is fresh salmon.

Bon appetite!
Carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic, celery and two kinds of beans. This is the soup I've been making since high school.
