I made this up cause I had one solo overly ripe banana. So how could slicing it up, sprinkling it with cinnamon, brown sugar, a pinch of salt and a couple toasted pecans, then covering it in a chocolate cake go wrong? It certainly can't!

pizza, bread and whatever is being cooked in my kitchen

"Jenny, have you taken your picture of the day yet?" reached my ears before the scent of cooking onions, or even the knowledge that pizza was on the menu, could make the journey first. We've found it's best to use homemade pizza dough (thanks to Mom's breadmaker) and a very effective, olive-oily sauté of onions, spices, and garlic in lieu of tomato sauce. Add a little mozzarella, tomato, and basil, and it's done before you can say "Margherita."

Diced chewy caramels topped the homemade apple pie filling in these mini Pop Tar-esque pastries. A few of the seals weren't perfect - as you can see!

Cake balls dipped in white chocolate and hand painted to look like eyes.... there's berry jam underneath in the center of the donut....

It's hot & your car has no air conditioning?

It's ok, cause these are the best Chocolate Chip Cookies you'll ever eat.

1. They're as guilt-free as anything can get: The SUNSHINE made you VEGAN cookies.

2. No worryin about weird rancid egg and dairy.

3. The taste and texture are unlike anything else. The sugars caramelize very slowly - which my tastebuds and nosebuds like. Best news: the very middle / bottom are still slightly raw-cookie-doughy while the outside is crisp. Overall, a chewy, toffee, sweet kiss from the heavens.

I grew up in Colombia, South America. I really enjoy Colombian cuisine and Mr Chiots has grown to love it as well. One of our favorites is Empanadas. Empanadas are eaten in many Latin American countries, and each country has their specialty, as does each region within each country. I grew up in the prairie region of Colombia so I make mine the way they do there. I use areparina for the crust which is pre-cooked corn flour, I can’t find it locally so my dad brings it to me when he travels back from Colombia. In many other countries empanadas are made with a pie crust type dough, or a potato dough.

Do your favorite chili recipe a solid and use leeks next time.

Y'know how leeks take food to a whole other level of deliciousness? YES. That.
