I got this recipe from my Beard or Bread book. That guy is great. Although he is really heavy on the salt. Whatever he suggests for salt, I usually half, it not more. Somehow 1T is just too much. I go for 2 t. This is my first very successful loaf of white bread. yummy yum yum! I think I'll go have a sandwich!
Turning frozen vegetable scraps into soup broth-
We saved some vegetable scraps and froze them in 32 oz. cubes. I added just a little of liquid to get the thaw started.

From scratch: Buttermilk pancakes
When I started to do the math, 3 of these babies is just over HALF of the daily lot of sodium, wow! That's way too much. Need a different recipe. And wow, ever notice how much sodium is in baking soda? I hadn't. 160 mg for 1/8 teaspoon. The recipe called for a half teaspoon. And sheesh, 1 cup of buttermilk had 400 mg! The recipe called for 1 cup.
The pancetta from our Formaggio Kitchen in-house charcuterie share was diced up and thrown into the stew for a nice salty note.
I hadn't spent much time on my wording in a long time. So as a side-project I created Forgery. It was originally just another throw away project then I remembered the use of Character Map! It was so fun messing with the little symbols!!
One of my favourites!
found this recipe online and modified it, it's supposedly a Paula Deen.
