Week 16 in 52 Weeks for Dogs and Tasku is perched on our garden table with me on the ground - it's increasingly a struggle to get up again from shots like this!

A Morning Glory flower living up to it's name .....

These beautiful flowers are on several trees in my yard and the moment I saw them from beneath, I knew they would be beautifully shot from that angle! I only wish I had a camera that would truly show you the beauty of these amazing flowers! I decided to do them in sepia, but below you will see a shot of them in their real color!

Tower of church of Our Lady of Rosary in Igrane :)

Igrane is a village in Croatia. At the highest point of the village is one of the most valuable cultural and historical monuments of the Makarska coast, the "Zalina Kula" tower - named after hero of Igrane, Ivan Antičić-Zale, and built during the 17th century as a protection against Turks. That Tower is unique, because a fortification object like this is not to be found in other places in the whole area. The parish church of Our Lady of Rosary (built in 1752) is located above village, and the tall stone bell tower, built in 1925, according to the design of the architect Nikola Perić. There is also the Pre-Romanesque church of St. Michael, dating from the 11th century, located more high between olive trees. Tourism and agriculture are the main sources of income for the inhabitants.

Wieża kościoła Matki Boskiej Różańcowej w Igrane :)

Igrane – wieś w Chorwacji, w gminie Podgora. Nad centrum miejscowości góruje kościół parafialny Matki Boskiej Różańcowej, zbudowany w 1752 r. i wysoka kamienna dzwonnica, zbudowana w 1925 r. według projektu architekta Nikoli Pericia., zaś wyżej – wśród drzew oliwnych, znajduje się też pre-romański kościół Św. Michała z XI wieku.

It was literally a "Walk in the Park" until I saw this flowering cactus. Then I negotiated a steep slope (luckily a very short slope) in my slip on shoes on loose gravel. I somehow managed without falling, though there was also cactus lying on the ground that I did not want to get too close to.

Took this shot for the Smile on Saturday challenge, looking up to the sky from below showing other stuff in the shot. It wasn't as easy as it sounds!! lol.. And the sky was mostly gray. And it was drizzling. When I opened this pic in Lightroom, I was surprised that it looked ok. The clouds still have a bit of blue. Whew. HSoS!

p.s. see next pic or 1st comment box for the Cleome in full bloom.

Just lie ion the garden with the camera and Kip and the Hero the cat will soon show up. Before long you'll have a nose mark on the lens... that's why we fit filters. Happy Smile on Saturday

The pylon mirrored the hieroglyph Akhet 'horizon', which was a depiction of two hills "between which the sun rose and set". Consequently, it played a critical role in the symbolic architecture of a building associated with the place of re-creation and rebirth. Its significance is highlighted through architectural grandeur and relief sculptures.

Pylons are rich in symbolic meaning within ancient Egyptian temple architecture, representing gateways to the divine, a connection between the temple and the heavens. Shot from the temple of Isis at Philae island, Aswan.
