Closer view of the fortress of St. Nicholas. Unfortunately, it's abandoned and it's not open to the public.
St. Nicholas Fortress is a fortress located in the town of Å ibenik. There are four fortresses, but only this is at sea, at the entrance of Å ibenik port, and the other three are on land. St. Nicholas Fortress was built in 1525 on the left side at the entrance of the St. Anthony (Sv. Ante) channel, on the island called Ljuljevac. Fortress got its name from the Benedictine Monastery of St. Nicholas, which was on the island, but due to construction of the fortress had to be demolished. Fortress was designed and built by the famous Venetian architect and builder Hyeronimus di San Michaela. The fortress is one of the most valuable and best preserved examples of defense architecture in Dalmatia. The fortress is made of brick because this material was considered to be most resistant to cannonballs, while the foundations are made of stone. During the centuries of use, the structure served to various armies and has undergone a number of renovations, some of them made necessary because of the development of arms. It was completely abandoned by the military in 1979 and has been in renovation ever since.

Antoniego) do Morza Adriatyckiego. Do zbudowania podstaw twierdzy użyto kamieni.

Marina Towers (or the corn cobs) on a gray day. I drove really close to show.my daughter. She was impressed.
I don't exactly know how this shot went so mad, so completely wrong - yet it retains a fascination of its own to me.
This is a New Lomochrome Purple 400 film that I started shooting inside a Cosina CX-2, then moved to an Olympus TRIP once the Cosina proved to be unable to advance the film after 7 or 8 shots (this has happened before with a roll of a different make and era, so I'll assume the camera needs repairing - sob).
After reshooting the first frames and all the rest of the roll on the Olympus, I brought the roll to the lab, to later realise the first troubled shots were missing from the prints. I then checked the film and scanned it with my Plustek machine... just to find out these images are a total mess. Only this one shot shows a readable image, though completely f*cked and with a grain as big as popcorns.
I am posting this because I like it in its uncompromisingly weird, flawed, twisted way.

This is the Fernsehturm at Alexanderplatz in Berlin the capital city of Germany.
Usually the tower is illuminated in decent white, but for the Festival of Lights in October, they changed the color to a magnificent blue. In my humble opinion, they could leave it that way all the time.
During the festival week I've shot a lot more pictures.
This tower has of course it's own website where you can find more information.
