The Grand Palais at sunset - this is looking directly up at the center of the glass dome, lit by spotlights. The ambient music and sound added a fabulous touch, and the whole experience of being in there is just simply great.
When we were in The table Mountains in Poland, we also visited in one day The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks in Czech republic. It's really nice place :)
The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks (Czech: Adršpašsko-teplické skály) are an unusual set of sandstone formations which has been formed over thousands of years by erosion, covering 17 km2 in northeastern Bohemia, Czech Republic. They are named after two nearby municipalities: Adršpach, and Teplice nad Metují. The rocks have been protected as a national nature reserve since 1933, and since 1991 the whole adjacent region of Broumovsko has enjoyed the status of protected landscape area. It is very valuable not only for geological and geomorphological reasons, but also in terms of diversity of fauna and flora. The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks are also called "The Rock Town", but it's not a "town" meaning a settlement built by people. The "town" is made naturally of huge rock formations that take the shape of pillars, columns, walls and labyrinths. In the Adršpach Rocks area there are two mountain lakes at different levels, through which the river Metuje flows forming two waterfalls. On one lake you can cruise together with a guide that is famous for his morbid humour. Tourists may visit the rocks via a number of marked trails. The area is a popular destination for rock climbers. There are thousands of strange rock formations and some of them, especially those that resemble something have unique names for example "The Lovers", "The Jug", "The Sugar Loaf"or "the Johann Wolfgang". The Adršpach-Teplice rocks are among the largest single rock formations in Central Europe. In The Rock Town was filmed the movie "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" (in 2005).

Będąc w Górach Stołowych postanowiliśmy odwiedzić także Skalne Miasto czyli Adršpašsko-teplické skály w Czechach. Ogromnie lubię to miejsce :)
"Around the World in Analogue: Amsterdam, Netherlands" is an article by yours truly featured on the Lomography official magazine.
The article features 8 analog shots I took during my last trip in Amsterdam taken with a Canonet QL19 camera + the stunning #Lomography Purple 35mm film.

Every Fall, for a few short days, the Cedar Waxwings come through and gobble up the berries on our flowering crab apple tree.
Today's prompt was POV - get down, look up, perspective. This is a different perspective than I normally take of KitKat!
this Thai Air Asia A333 was glowing nicely against the deep blue sky 4000ft directly above us-this shot took some extreme contortion to get!!

Our Daily Challenge 31 March -6 April: Inspired by the Eiffel Tower
Crippling to get up from down there, so I got my son to lie on the ground whilst I directed the shot!
This shot makes the pair with a previous one of mine depicting the same building and from the same angle, but taken with a different camera, lens and - most importantly - different film.
The previously shared shot has been featured in February on the Lomography magazine in an article for the "Around the World in Analogue" series (find the story here) and was also yesterday posted by Lomography Italia on their official Instagram account.
I have fond memories of this very spot, that marked a lovely moment of our latest trip to the city - or maybe it's just that it carved a spot in my mind because I took 3 different shots of the building using 2 analog camera/film combinations and my iPhone as well. In any case, you can find all 3 shots on my website at aledigangi.com...

Bend over backwards as far as you can, point your camera straight up in the sky from that position, and give up some satisfied grunts... :-))
Another photo from the interior of the Los Angeles City Hall :)
Los Angeles City Hall, is the center of the government of the city of Los Angeles, California, and houses the mayor's office and the meeting chambers and offices of the Los Angeles City Council. The building was designed by John Parkinson, John C. Austin, and Albert C. Martin, Sr., and was completed in 1928. It is located in the Civic Center district of downtown Los Angeles. The building has 138 m high, is the tallest base-isolated structure in the world, having undergone a seismic retrofit from 1998 to 2001, so that the building will sustain minimal damage and remain functional after a magnitude 8.2 earthquake. The Observation Deck located on the 27th floor is open to the public.
Los Angeles and officially the City of Los Angeles, is the most populous city in the state of California and it's the county seat of Los Angeles County, which is the most populous county in the United States. Los Angeles is the second-most populous city in the United States, and is the commercial, financial, and cultural center of the Southern California region. Los Angeles has a Mediterranean climate, an ethnically and culturally diverse population, and a sprawling metropolitan area. The city was founded on 4 September 1781, under Spanish governor Felipe de Neve, on the village of Yaanga. It became a part of Mexico in 1821 following the Mexican War of Independence. In 1848, at the end of the Mexican–American War, Los Angeles and the rest of California were purchased as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and became part of the United States. Los Angeles was incorporated as a municipality on April 4, 1850, five months before California achieved statehood. Los Angeles has a diverse economy with a broad range of industries, best known as the home of the Hollywood film industry.

Ozdobny sufit wewnątrz ratusza miejskiego w Los Angeles :)

YOUTHFUL ENTHUSIASM
To go up to the castle of Udine, from the side of Piazza Libertà, there are two options ... take the paved road, ancient but passable also by car, which runs alongside the Porticato del Lippomano, or, much more panoramic, climbing the steep steps which they lead directly to the large square of the castle, at the top of the hill.
This time I chose to take this second option and I must admit that the view was spectacular, perhaps because the day was warm and sunny. 😊
CANON EOS 6D Mark II con ob. CANON EF 70-300 f./4-5,6 IS USM
Taken whilst camping in Hurley England close to the River Thames. Not sure if it thought I would make a good dinner but certainly watching me. Maybe it thought my camera was a gun! The sun was close so got amazinng backlighting but also got my eyeballs singed whilst trying to follow the bird and inadvertently turned towards the sun whilst trying to to track it with my zoom lens! Not something I would not do again - Lesson learntt!

Over the years, the constant lashings of the North Atlantic have been carving away at the cliffs at an exponential pace. Today, it laps against the base of the cliff at the very EDGE of this property. The fence will likely tumble to the beach below this winter. There is a house not much further back, which within a few years, will also succumb to the ever-advancing sea.
I put a pin on the map. It will be interesting to look back in a few years to see the pin in the water!
