Late last November, Guy( www.flickr.com/photos/ozgfk/22930379874/in/dateposted/ ) and I had a drink and a chat about cameras at a bar along Kandahar Street. Our waitress was cool and friendly, so we asked if she would let us take her portrait. I got her name, wrote it down, and now it's disappeared. If I find that paper, I'll update the photo title here. I recall her saying that she's working at that bar to pay her way through school.

I was treated to lots of friendly horn action from the crew of NS 21Z, aka "The Zipper" (Rutherford, PA to Chicago, IL, 63rd St., Park Manor Yard hotshot trailers/containers) as he flew through downtown Brimfield, Indiana on NS' ex-LS&MS/NYC/PC/CR Chicago Line. I'm sure they've seen me before as I've shot the evening parade countless times which includes the Zipper. At the time of this shot 21Z's crew took 20K home the following day back east to Toledo as a regularly assigned set of trains, (although that may have changed since) and as it turned out I got the same friendly horn the following day from 20K with the same crew. NS 2585 is an SD70M built in Oct. of 2000 for NS. The NYC era tri-light signals are still in service here.

This Blythe doll is Ichigo Heaven. You might have noticed that I played with the colors a bit...in real life, her hair isn't this intensely pink!

A friendly stop of sunlight and 1950s setting. A happier place to have a cup of coffee would be hard to find. The owner greeted us the moment we walked in the door. I like that kind of place.

I wonder sometimes what people thinks when I slam on the brakes with my bike, make a U-turn back and photograph such a motif.

Two guys where working in the small streets of Jerusalem and when they saw me they asked me to take a photo.

….I've picked up the pad & pencils from being idle since the mid '80s. I'm polishing up, to do some more serious drawings in the near future. Scanner not working, so I took a photo of the finished work. This is a wild cottontail rabbit I named Friendly; because he let's me get within 8 feet away when photographing him.

Several dozen horses roam in this field in Grand Teton National Park - a few came by to say hello :)

While cleaning my boots in the garden, I went in search of a stiff brush. When I returned I found this cute fella perched on my boot. When I got closer, he reminded me the bird food needed toppping up.

He doesn't really like the camera, a big eye looks at him and clicks.

Daylight fades after a long paddle on Choctawhatchee Bay in my trusty sea kayak.

Walking home, camera in hand as usual, and this man asked me to take his picture. So, I did and we had a brief chat. I sent him a copy and received a nice thank you.
