The brakeman (or fireman back then) waves as I photogrpah this train in 1974 at Griffith IN. I bet they didn't even bother to call me in to Homeland Security. Oops..I don't think there was HS in 1974.

These farm workers seemed to enjoy attracting our attentions during their short break.

Have a lovely day, everyone...

I met some friendly little chipmunks on top of an old volcanic cinder cone called Lava Butte in central Oregon on vacation this summer. I told them I didn't have any food but they followed me all around anyway and even climbed into my camera bag

I took this photo at the Newport Aquarium in Kentucky. No special filters were used to shoot through the glass. This is posted for a new friend who's name will remain unknown for now. Mysterious! Haha! Sorry I haven't been on Flickr much today. I ended up not doing my priority jobs here at home and went to the zoo. Hope everyone had a wonderful day!

My new Flickr friend is Gail www.flickr.com/photos/shotzy/ from Canada and we met up for a photo shoot at the zoo and the aquarium. We had the best time ever!

We always meet the nicest, most friendly people on our travels, despite what this sign says. It may have been a controversy between husband and wife because not 30 feet from the shed was a house with at least three welcome signs! LOL Also, a bit ironic as there was a nice padlock on the door (hard to see in the photo but it's there) and absolutely No window! :)

The annual Moors and Christian Fiesta in Guardamar del Segura in honour of Sant Jaume......

Parades, concerts, parties and the firing of hundreds of blunderbuss guns makes for an exciting and rather noisy affair........

I stopped on the interstate when I saw this herd.. Much to my surprise they came running up to me... that barbed wire fence looked pretty good, about then...

Oh this was such a friendly little soul, much to his Mum's disgust. He kept following me about and nudging me :)) I did leave him with his Mum.

We just locked in a weekend camping with friends at Lost Lake next spring, and I can't wait. One of my favorite views of the mountain and an all around gorgeous area.

As Sarah is here, I look forward to soaking in this view of Mt. Hood's NW face, and of course making a few photographs.

This is a short video of my good garden friend :-) It lives in the garden of a house I have done the gardening in for about eleven years, so I have seen it's parents and the parents before that! I really look forward to my Thursdays! I had just finished the mowing on one of their lawns and he decided to want a chat! Out of an eight hour working day...I probably do six!! 😊

Making its usual rounds, searching for Rough Earth Snakes in my yard. This seems to be one of a resident pair that is used to being photographed. I was able to walk out my front door and approach it slowly in the open to about 30 ft./10 m.

Processing: high quality JPEG @13MP (sensor is ~26 MP) processed in GIMP. Cropped and resized to 4 MP. Mild color enhancement, feathered selection around bird then mild unsharp mask, selection inverted, shrunk and then mild Gaussian blur.

I didn't realize that I shouldn't encourage this behavior at Birds of Eden. This bird was obviously a former pet, and we both wanted some attention.

Our friendly garden robin. He regularly feeds from our hand and when we are not around waits by the window for our return.

Have a lovely and friendly Friday, everyone...

I found this spot by a pond that these ducks and geese like to come to. They got so excited when I drove up! I guess they thought someone was going to feed them! ha! I didn't have anything for them to eat...and it wouldn't have been healthy for them anyway. I just wanted to grab a few quick shots! I made the mistake of getting out of the car, however. One was so angry that I didn't feed them, he took a nip out of me! Wasn't bad; just a little unnerving. I always enjoy getting pictures of ducks and geese...hope you enjoy, as well!
