Man at Grangethorpe Drive bus stop on Kingsway. It took a few shots to get a clear view. This old lens is not at its best with lots of sunshine.

This is a photo of a bird that always hangs out on the tree in front of our house. I finally got some some sun for a nice photo of it.
This cute beetle landed on my hand. I think it is Pseudolycus sp. Possibly Pseudolycus marginatus though still waiting on I.D confirmation. [Winburndale, NSW]
EDIT: Pseudolycus haemopterus.

I know people and dogs and horses and... have nice and friendly eyes, but did you ever look a cow in its face?
They cut the horns nowadays, IMO it's a complete amputation, AND they have to wear these big ugly yellow earrings, they cause inflammations. It's a registration system because of diseases like BSE. Stupid, as implanting a chip is a good alternative.
This gregarious Double-ribboned Jumper actually ballooned onto my partner's arm while we were looking for spiders (I just love it when they find you!). She was a fantastic subject to photograph and was much obliging. Here she is hopping onto my finger on her own accord. She eventually made her way to my knee (I was sitting on the ground). I then placed her on a tree where she looked more content!

Santa Anita fire marshal Mike Miser hands out bottled water to anyone he sees, including ambulance drivers, at Santa Anita Park racetrack in Arcadia, California, U.S.A. He passes out five 24-packs every hot morning, mostly on his own dime. (June 21, 2014)

My husband and I were sitting on a bench at the local park, when this goose wandered over to us. It came so close, we were sure that it was looking for a "handout." It even nibbled on my husband's boots. It finally walked away, making me wish I'd had a pocketful of corn. Later, as we walked back toward the parking lot, two cars pulled up with several people in each. When they got out of the cars, a large group of geese and ducks rushed toward them. They threw handfuls of bread to the hungry fowl. It is illegal to feed wildlife for a multitude of reasons, but like so many other things, we would have been "hard-pressed" to convince them that they were causing more harm than good. At least once a year we have observed a Canada Goose at this location with "angel-wing" caused in part by feeding them bread.

On our last day in Cambodia, we went for an Ox Cart ride through a small village near Siem Reap. We rode down the main street an then visited our cart driver's home which had received help from the Grand Circle Foundation. I was a great last taste of Cambodia.
This is literally on my doorstep. Judging by the atmosphere outside, and the circling helicopters, the word 'friendly' is perhaps out of place.
UPDATE***
14 people were arrested for violent disorder after the match, so I was right in assuming that the fixture wouldn't be friendly. My instincts told me that something wasn't quite right and there is a certain amount of history associated with Celtic.
Having subsequently spoken to an Irish friend of mine who also knows a bit about his football, the writing was definitely on the wall. Apparently, some of the Chelsea FC hardcore supporters have links with Combat 18, a neo-nazi group. 18 represents the 'A' and the 'H' from the Roman alphabet - as in Adolf Hitler. Combat 18 is reported to have attempted to establish alliances with the loyalist (unionist) paramilitary groups in Northern Ireland. Celtic is the other side of this ideological fence - having long been associated with the Irish republican 'movement' and, more generally, the conflict between Catholics and Protestants that has raged since the creation of the United Kingdom.
So the big question is, 'which chump decided to set up a friendly fixture between these two sides?'. I appreciate that they don't meet in the Premiership but surely someone at Chelsea or Celtic would have had prior knowledge that there were likely to be issues? The fans and the cops certainly did!
Minister of State for Seniors Ralph Sultan presents a cheque for $15,000 to Kent Mayor John van Laerhoven. The funding is an age-friendly grant to help create programs or tools that address the needs of the district’s older residents. The District of Kent will use the funds to reach isolated seniors and raise awareness of the risk factors of isolation. The district will also promote local senior services through information boards, consolidated telephone number lists, a resource book and a communication directory.
