2520 West Hundred Road, Chester, VA
This location was built and opened in 1984, closed in October 2019, and was demolished in November 2021. A Zaxby's was built on site, which opened on July 25th, 2022.
This is Friendly Cat, who likes to come trotting down the path and say hello to us when we get home. She also seems to like using our vegetable patch as a public convenience and stepping stone up onto the fence, from where she can get onto the roof.
I had no idea.... this was coming.
A friendly tip off from Gavin and Vic...... I have never seen a DRS 66 in Harrogate before??? Sadly she was not top & tailed.
DRS 66421 hauls a lengthy ballast train through platform 1 at Harrogate Station heading in the York direction and passes under one of the two semaphore signal gantries still in use in the towns station.
This working was connected to the re signalling of the Harrogate line between Leeds and Harrogate that is currently ongoing. The line is currently closed to normal traffic on a Sunday...
Most Pacific islands have unpretentious police cars up to 30 years old. They use money wisely, not like Queensland. The police on these islands are so friendly and helpful and non-confrontational, not like Queensland. That is why they have top respect.

AND: true Blythe story. We're in the store and we've just found the Domos. And a woman walks up to me and asks about Comet. I tell her "Oh, she's part of a photography project" (my standard answer when someone is looking at me like I might be a bit odd. Y'know.) To which she replies (caps mine for emphasis) "CAUSE THOSE WERE MY FAVORITE DOLLS AS A KID, I HAD A COUPLE OF THEM." and then "MY MOM STILL HAS THEM IN HER GARAGE."
OMG.
So doofus Furry Dude blurts out, "Wow, those are worth a whole lot of money!" So much for my chance to possibly score a cheap Kenner! The lady's eyes bug out of her head and as we left . . . she's on the phone with her mom to get the dolls out of the garage.
So if y'all see a couple of Kenners on ebay from the So. Cal area in the next few days . . you can thank me.
