Captured here is the trio of Union Pacific locomotives (UP1988, UP1996, & UP1983) as they pull a 2 mile long train toward their destination of Los Angeles on July 14, 2009. This chase consisted of driving from San Diego to north of Las Vegas, hanging out in 111 degree weather, pariently waiting for the train, then chasing and capturing the train all the way to the Harvey House in Barstow, California. Just seconds after he clears, 206 gets the Green Light to cross and continue north for Jax. The industry track off to the right serves Omni Transloading and Logistics which is served by the Downtown Job on most weekdays. If a Live Railcam is ever seriously considered for Iris, Omni would make for a great hosting candidate due to it being mere feet away from the diamond. In the weekend of 23 and 24 January the Betuweroute was closed due engineeringwork in Germany. All the freight trains were diverted via the Brabantroute. A great oppertunity to spot the freighttrains at Hulten, a smaal village east of Breda. On this picture the NS FLIRT 2524 is on its way to Gilze-Rijen, Breda and Dordrecht

410 passes outside the former Atlantic Coast Line depot here in Waycross. Built in 1911, today it houses the City’s Visitor Center, Chamber Of Commerce and offices for the Downtown’s Development Authority. Just like up in Cordele, Virtual Railfan also has some of their live webcams set up at the old Depot. One of which is visible next to the window below the Waycross Sign. Moving a bit closer, 743 starts getting on the move again after 453 cleared the north end Yard Switches. While normally Winston likes to have Trains pull by and Reverse. Today’s 453 and 743 are entering Engine First, presumably to clear up the Mainline for P092 who was still in the hole at Winston, and Intermodal hotshot I04614 who at the time was fixing to depart Tampa.
