For the inside of the journal I printed out lined pages in different colors, added a few quotes on the pages, and stitched them into three signatures.

Moving through the steps of designing with new techniques, I'm allowing some synchronicity to come to play. The piece of sun dyed cloth that surrounds the fused flowers was itself a layered fused piece waiting to be made into business card cases. How could I refuse using it to frame this garden? Next, tying it together and filling out the design with more free motion stitched flowers and leaves.
I started with an old pair of light khaki pants, added acrylic paint and ink and free-motion stitching.

Recycled table cloths were being thrown aay after an event at my daughter's school. I hauled them out of the trash and formed them into the inside of unusual flowers. Shoot Your Art
Assignment #1--Straight and Flat
This is a wall quilt measuring 24X37. It is pinned to a sheet hanging from a molding on on the wall. The quilt and the camera have been leveled. The art is hanging horizontally for the shot and turned in the computer, allowing me to better center the image. Auto/macro setting. Two 150 w spots, not adjusted in any fashion.
