Ingredients for my Art Quilt Ect. Groups monthly challenge which is " Green".
I bought a size 16 green wool coat at the Salvation Army store and felted it. Cut leaves, needle felted wool roving for color on the leaves, free motion stitched with variegated thread.

Included in the ingredients, some printed flannel, hand dyed wool, interfacing, polymer clay, glass seed beads and felted beads, various specialty threads and yarns. The resulting necklace cuff set is wonderful and I will share it next week.
Once the alcohol inks dry I cut them with my oval cutter and added some touches of blue, copper, and green mica powders to them that irridescent sparkle feathers have.
Made with fabric that I tried many techniques on and then added all sorts of embellishments and stitching.
In honor of a book I read this spring entitled Happy For No Reason by Marci Shimoff.
I AM happy for no reason. :)
Here you can see the backs are textured by the sheet while I pressed the front with the peacock stamp.
Mini Quilt: 9.5 x 9.5
Materials used: fabric, duck cloth, buttons, paper leaves, embroidery thread, silk flowers, flour sack, lace and cheese cloth.

Made a sandwich here of old papers, pictures and dried botanicals from my garden. Free motion stitched and added a Lacey paper border from a background page.
