Frame of a Union Pacific SW1500 locomotive at Anaheim, CA. I like the way this one turned out.
Canon T70, Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens, with some clearance grocery store ISO 200 color negative film that is proving quite nice indeed. Especially for about 60 cents a roll.

This old and simple Federal-style home called The Deanery (dating from the 1780s) is in Cartersville, Cumberland County, Virginia. Francis Browne Deane of Galway Ireland was originally granted over 5,000 acres and included the site for this home. Set back from the main road, this wood frame, 1 1/2-story dwelling has a steep pitch slate roof punctuated by three chimneys—two exterior and one internal. Two pedimented dormers with 6/6 double-hung sash windows flank a door within a dormer; the door has 9 lights and bottom panels. The simple porch has square wood columns. Five 9/9 sash, double-hung windows are visible on the front from the road. Two outbuildings are also visible from the road, a log corncrib and a 1 1/2-story structure dating from a later period. The Deanery is part of the Cartersville Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places June 10, 1993 with ID#93000505

Made for Our Daly Challenge topic " In or Out of Frame"
This frame is made of stamped polymer clay tiles that have been treated with a patina to show off the gorgeous textures.
Since I had this photo printed in a 8x12 format, it was a challenge to frame (it's not a common frame size). However, when I saw this 13x15 floating frame, I knew it would be a great fit.
This kind of shot doesnt work particularly well when taken from indoors looking out however, A Cedar of Lebanon has such a specific elegant profile and therefore the framing accentuates its elegance and formality so maybe it will work this time.
Blipfoto Post for Wednesday 29 August 2012: Framed and Cheap
Busy framing up a few prints this evening...including the commisioned one. Also learning a bit more about colour profiling, soft proofing etc to make sure that the prints come out as intended after the Cross shot came out too dark (i'd forgotten to convert it to the Costco ICC printer profile and tell them not to adjust on printing). Still when I picked up the first couple of prints from Costco today I got a nice surprise...what I thought was already an excellent price (i.e. £2.29 for a 18" x 12" print) was made even more excellent by this weeks offer....50% off all large prints. So at £1.15 for a 18" x 12" I've decided to print out quite a few more (even though I have not got frames for them all at the moment).
PS - Offer at Costco ends on Sunday!

Frame commissioned for use in Iranian-themed photography exhibit. It was supposed to look like a tapestry-type frame with assorted critters. Pretty much everything (size, colors, characters) was decided by the client.

Finally hung my signed Jon Armstrong photo. My picture doesn't do it justice, probably because I'm not a good photographer like Jon Armstrong. But doesn't it look nice on my wall?

I was stopped at a red light when I looked over and up and saw these power lines crossing over and making Frames around the clouds.
Seeing as how I am running out of time with my hunt I chose this as my Frame item.
