Prior to measuring seat and head tube angles, I get the seat tube vertical so I can trust all of the other measurements, then make sure the front wheel points straight ahead. A tilt in the front wheel would cause a slight dip in the front end, throwing off the head tube measurement.

Back to Christchurch..I am putting on as many photos as I can because I am going to be away for two months from Sept 26.

Out on a sunny Sunday afternoon walk... just get to the park and the sun disappears! August 26, 2012, Christchurch NZ.

There is nowhere else in the world where, within two hours of an international airport, you can ski at a world-class alpine resort, play golf, bungy jump, raft, mountain bike, hot-air balloon, wind surf, whale watch and visit internationally-acclaimed wineries and gardens.

Christchurch is New Zealand's second-largest city and the gateway to the South Island. Bordered by hills and the Pacific Ocean, it is situated on the edge of the Canterbury Plains that stretch to the Southern Alps.

The Central City and some eastern suburbs have suffered earthquake damage but the city as a whole continues to operate and Christchurch is still a great place to live, work and play! Check out this interactive map that shows up-to-date locations of things to see and do in Christchurch as the city's rebuild takes shape. Here you can quickly and easily find what you are looking for - from markets to restaurants, free wi-fi spots to popular parks.

At Winter Light Spectacular, people have the opportunity to have photos taken with the "real" Santa, or to pose in this frame for friends and family to snap them.

Northern Cardinal, juvenile. I was just playing around with this old bamboo trellis and see who the first small bird that'll perch on it :-) Press L to view on black.

First step of a first try. Coming from virtual to real is not so easy

The A-Frame mid-mountain warming shack. Montana Snowbowl, during a 2' powder dump in February 2013. Wood burning stove, outhouse, bbq grills, and not much else. A great meeting place for locals and visitors alike, it is halfway up the mountain and has no amenities or attendants. A couple electrical outlets. Very steep run off the backside (going down and to the right). Sometimes we jump off the railing of the back deck and ski down the steep tree-filled run known as Outhouse.

Shot for Macro Mondays / theme: Straight Out of Camera.

The sunset starts to break through and lights the downtown buildings, as seen through one of the openings at Fenway Park.

The eagle and American flag fly above the Boston Arts Academy in the foreground while the evening colors are reflecting on 111 Huntington Avenue, also known as the "R2D2 Building".

Asbury Park is a treasure trove of grunge and goodness. Really really hope it maintains its charm as they start to develop it more and more.
