Where do the design frameworks we use and promote in permaculture come from? Permaculture is a magpie discipline taking useful material from many places and often forgetting where it took it from along the way – what can we collectively re-member? What are the histories of SADIMET, OBRDIMET and others – and might knowing those histories inform our use of them now?

The WMO Policy Framework on Public-Private Engagement was the first WMO formally approved document on the issue of public-private engagement and partnership in the so called "weather enterprise". The Framework provides a set of basic principles for successful public-private engagement between the state sector players, like the NMHSs, and stakeholders from the private and academic sectors. What is Osteoporosis?
The first thing you should know about Osteoporosis is that it is a common old-age disease of bone due to which bones become more vulnerable to fractures. Bone loss refers to the decrease in bone density and fast loss of framework and constituents. The entire skeleton is concerned by the increased susceptibility of fracture. Osteoporosis is the most common bone disease in old age. Most instances of osteoporosis are of primary nature. No other illness lead to Osteoporosis symptoms in case of primary osteoporosis. In 80 percent cases this disease affects postmenopausal women. 30% of women will develop a clinically significant osteoporosis after the menopause. Secondary cases are rare (5%) and often caused as a result of diseases that are treated with glucocorticoids. Long time is required to be spent in immobilization state to cure these diseases. Various kinds of Osteoporosis treatments are available in the market but if you take early preventive measures then it is best as you do not need to face any problem at all
Osteoporosis symptoms that are often found:
Osteoporosis mainly occurs in old age. Different types of bone fractures generally lead to the detection of this disease.Osteoporosis treatments should be started as early as possible.Common osteoporosis symptoms are bone fractures. some of the common symptoms as follows:
1. Vertebral intrusions
2. Fractures in the thigh and the hip regions
3. Broken spokes around wrist
4. Humerus fracture (sub capital humerus fracture)
5. Pelvic fracture
Increased susceptibility to fractures at other skeleton sites is also there.
Modes of Osteoporosis treatments:
Osteoporosis can be called somewhat of a life style disease. Some changes need to be brought in lifestyle. Physical activity protects against bone loss. It enhances vitamin D in the skin. Exercise is helpful in this stage. Calcium intake needs to be increased to prevent this disease. Vitamin D should be taken as a treatment. Heavy alcohol and tobacco use should be avoided. It is true that vitamin K is required for matrix maturation but long term intake of it raises antagonists, Taking vitamin K may or may not have any positive effect but there is no evidence of it. There is no qualitative study in this regard. While all evidence-based guidelines suggest taking vitamin D and calcium there are no recommendations about taking vitamin D. The bisphosphonate zoledronic acid has been used in Europe since October 2007 as a drug to treat Osteoporosis symptoms in postmenopausal women and since September 2008 as a treatment for men. It is used as an infusion which should be taken once in a year. Around 15 minutes are taken for pure infusion.15 minutes are needed for concoction. In preparing the current guidelines for osteoporosis this approval was not yet available. Some newer Osteoporosis treatments have been invented like denosumab. It is a kind of monoclonal antibody which needs to be injected under skin every six months.
