Not sure of the proper name for the coloured frames that appear on this reel. The reel and little cube of pictures came from a toy camera that I think M had as a child. it broke but I couldn't through the little reel of circus pictures away. Today I realised why not! They were destined for Flickr- where else! Each picture is 0.6cm wide.
This frame is created mosaic style. The vitreous tile colors are a lavender, lilac and a cream. Great gift for a shower !

Although the door isn't really framing anything in particular, I like how unusual the image actually is. The side of the wall the photo was taken from is obviously outside, but so is the background within the door frame which is unusual because we would expect to be looking into a building through a door, not just through hole in a wall.
This boy on the bus was wearing these really cool thick glasses frames that I find only Asian hipsters can pull off :p
I made these as gifts for family. They're the first frames I've made. The corners are lap joined, glued, and nailed together. Finished with a urethane spray (probably not archival!). Both are made from old wood. The larger frame is cedar, the smaller Doug fir. I think they are both cedar.
