Friend gave me these to mosaic. A wooden tray, 3 small boxes and a larger jewellery box, l will have fun with these.
I'm also getting Varifocal transition lenses fitted into Hugo Boss frames, also a pair of Varifocal sunglasses made up in Armani frames.
The funny part of it is I probably could have has laser eye surgery done for the cost of the Glasses. Stupid.
Finally got all the frames installed and cut to height. Apologies to neighbors for the late-night hammering. Seat risers are next.

I painted the frames white, they were originally a gold color. They look much better now!

With many examples of the flat art, I found that the frame drew my attention more than the item it was framing. At first, that seemed both counter-intuitive and contrary to what I've learned from a professional framer. But, in this case, I quickly came to appreciate the frame as art.

"drawings" are done with permanent marker on yogurt lids and then sewn into fused plastic frames.
Note: each square uses 2 plastic bags.

My Mother likes to cross stitch in her free time.

The birth of a independent Singapore.
We have three cross stitch flowers done by mom hanging on our living room wall, in pink, blue and yellow. She had them framed up since it took her so much time and effort. I rmbr that around the time she was doing these, I had started cross stitching a froggie bookmark. I wonder where it's gone.
My Mom doesn't get a lot of free time. She has too much stuff on her hands, like family, cooking, cleaning, etc. But i hope she knows how much I appreciate her.
