Another wonderful album from the magical 1987. 25 years ago, Sting gave us Nothing like the sun. The title comes from Shakespeare's Sonnet #130 ("My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun"), which Sting used in the song "Sister Moon".

This little leaf is a reminder that life is fragile. Love those around you and live the world you live in because you don't know how much time there is.

broken heart stencil, fragile love!

I have always been a strong, solid presence. People in my life depend on me for this sturdy characteristic. Yet lately, I have been feeling a bit like the dandelion seeds in this image, untethered and fragile. My oldest is graduating from high school in two weeks, you see. I am filled to the brim with acute nostalgia which is making me a tad weepy and extremely sentimental. I am one of those people who is annoyingly cheerful, so it's a challenge for me to accept my heartache and honor it as a symbol of my deep, motherly love. heart emoticon

If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one

Drying in the colour of the evening sun

Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away

But something in our minds will always stay

Perhaps this final act was meant

To clinch a lifetime's argument

That nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could

For all those born beneath an angry star

Lest we forget how fragile we are

On and on the rain will fall

Like tears from a star like tears from a star

On and on the rain will say

How fragile we are how fragile we are

Fall has basically come to an end but I finally got some fall photos taken. Micah looks so pretty.

Morning dew on my backyard.

Nikon D300 & Nikkor 80-200 ED.

It must be a fragile system if it can be brought down by just a few berries.

I saved some rose buds from a bouquet of flowers that I received for a present, I picked one up today and it started to fall apart. The drying has made the bud so fragile.

“Sometimes I enjoy just photographing the surface because I think it can be as revealing as going to the heart of the matter.”

It's raining as i'm typing away. A calm and peaceful moment after a wonderful family reunion dinner as the night is slowing down with the sound of music from the fireworks around the neighborhood. This little fragile story came to mind:

He holds up a perfect glass and asked "Can you see the crack in the glass?"

I looked carefully but i couldn't see any crack on it.

He continues: “There’s a crack in it but it's microscopic, you can't really see it. But one day someone is will drop it and the crack is gonna open up. It will be destroy because it is the nature of glass to have cracks and faults which opens up when you drop them"

He paused for a little while and said: “It is fragile and because there's is a crack in it, it will one day be destroyed"

He continues "That is why you have to look after it and care for it. Just like one another ~ your partner, your children, your family and your friends. One day this crack will appear. Because they are fragile, that is why you need to care for them"

The fact that we are not gonna always be here together, that means there is not gonna be enough time for us to fight, to get angry or say bad things because there will come a day where you can't say sorry when they are gone. Grab the opportunity to do and say what is really important in life.

Wishing you good fortune and happiness in The Year of The Goat.

Lots of love to you and yours.

Tonight your soul sleeps,

but one day you will feel real pain,

maybe then you will see me as I am,

A fragile wreck on a storm of emotion

Countless times I trusted you,

I let you back in,

Knowing... Yearning... you know

I should have run... but I stayed

Maybe I always knew,

My fragile dreams would be broken for you.

Today I introduced myself,

To my own feelings,

In silent agony, after all these years,

They spoke to me... after all these years

Maybe I always knew...

You've already seen the digisnap version of this so here's the more considered LF version. I wanted to emphasise the threatening bulk of the cliff above the delicate plants....
