Levin C. Abantius, aka the traveller is able to travel long distances through time and space. Trying to unravel the mysteries of life.

It’s a hard life for him, as he is merely an observer. It’s dangerous to mess with history as the changes to

the future are unpredictable. The older he gets, the more enigmatic he becomes, questions are raised:

why does he have a skull on his walking cane? And what do those 6 notches on it represent?

Fragment of upcycled brown paper bag, hand embroidered, 18" x 5.5". I started this project as an entire bag, many years ago and then abandoned it. Now I salvaged this remnant and am moving on.

...or what the rear frame section was originally?

The title refers to the anonymous owner of the two tools that comprise the main elements of this piece. They belonged to a man who worked on the bodies of Harrier jump jets. Wood, brass and tufnol

Firestone

Born from the mythical embers of yesteryear, Firestone’s flame…er, head, burns ever bright. The first of my “TubeHead” series, Mr. F has patched tires, hung laundry, held bearings…he IS the original flasher.

 

and The Bartender special ray is going to some good little boy or girl. It's fabricated from a hacksaw handle, cocktail shaker lid, two-sided jigger, brass candle stick holder base and a toggle switch off on old blender.

Materials used: wheel and various parts from a vintage sowingmachine, brass letter opener, inline skate wheels, 70ties snack tray,

pendulums from vintage peppermills, bike lightbulb and a few more objects…

Created for the summer 2015 exhibition, My most intricate object up till now...Hope you like it!

Materials used: 'Velo' vintage sowingmachine, used slickwheels from a gokart, 2 pieces of metal from a gardenshed - origin unknown, innertubes, ornaments from a vintage lamp, bicycle seat, jigsaw, vase, barometer, antique sound recording device, carriage clock, lenscase, leather from a jacket, flower pot, goggles, necklace, oillamp, small oillamps, bikechain and quite a few other bits and pieces...

Daisy

Delicately fashioned from a pewter flower vase, tea ball, cookie cutter, vintage radio knob and topped with a spring loaded daisy. Garden grown and as always, fresh as a Daisy.

 

I know, I know...he's a guy and not ashamed of it!

While waiting for the photoshoot for my big object (the '32 Ford roadster), and working on a big junkart Batman bike, I couldn't resist doing this small trike. Hope you like it!

Yellow Tail dog

I know it's a dumb name for a dog... it's a dumb name for a fish, but it's all I could come up with. Your help is required. Camp flashlight body, bobbin eyes and ice tong ears could be your newest best friend...then you name him anything you want.

'plug' is 15.5" tall, 5" deep and is spring mounted to a 1962 Buick Fireball V6 air cleaner cover, wall hangable

…your getting warmer…warmer… HotPoint you’re on fire! Chest mounted thermoststic knob easily controls ambient tempture, handy dual pivoting brake arm and spiffy red anodized feet complete the picture. Where there’s smoke there’s HotPoint.

 

The last time I saw texture like this was on wet clay but I found this on cast concrete.
