Quilt pattern available on Etsy: Stars of the Sea
This quilt is so big I didn't have space to hang it completely flat - or get far enough from it to get a good straight-on shot. Blogged: sampaguitaquilts.blogspot.com/2011/10/stars-of-sea-in-ap....
Birth quilt for a friend's girl. This sat as a UFO waiting for a photo for over 2 years before being finished within a week. October 2008.

Three blocks finished for "summer quilt" in progress. I'm using the NYB quilt-along to spur forward progress, but not following the same sequence.
I enlarged the original 8" block patterns to 12", which suits my aqua and olive prints better. Plus I couldn't see making enough 8" ones for a large quilt.
Blogged here.
Block #2 in Forest QAL.

So much time and effort went into creating this quilt. I paper pieced 35 blocks including the pillow (my sister Laci made the purple block). No single block is alike.

I 'stitch in the ditch' quilted the entire quilt. Seriously a lot of seams!! But I love the way it looks. I used the mushroom print fabric from Moda for the binding.

Fifth Commission quilting request (of five). Colour request purple and burgundy.
Made this pattern before as a lap quilt. Really like the different effect you get using a light background. Squeezed the final bit out of the block size I could to bring them down to 1" squares. If you don't like jigsaws then this pattern is NOT for you. Noticed errors in the pattern first time round but never made a note of them as had no plans of ever making it again. Managed to catch 10 errors but only spotted another 5 while quilting so they get to stay. Who says all leaves have to be perfect.
Lap quilt made for one of the staff at child care. Foundation-pieced and quite heavily quilted. Approx 55in square. January 2011.
These were made using the 13-Square foundation from Miniatures in Minutes. A pdf file with directions can be found at my website on the Projects 2010 page: terriesandelin.com/projects2010.html
The pieced squares measure 1/2" and the pincushions measure about 5 to 6 inches.
Baby's play quilt about 40in square. The star block has 80 pieces, and the triangles are only an inch long. January 2010. More detail and photos here: sampaguitaquilts.blogspot.com/2010/01/southern-star-first...

Time for another request from SIL. Only requirement being they had to be Red and Black and ONLY red and black. First try at free form curves and really enjoyed it. Trying to take a photo of so much red is not so much fun.

The spinning star block I printed didn't print out big enough (my fault!) so I added more white to the outside!
I am starting a Quiltalong for this quilt. Visit me at therootconnection.blogspot.com/ for template and tutorials
